I bought this shampoo because i am pregnant and wanted an all natural shampoo without any of the bad chemicals. Apparently chemicals from your basic shampoos can enter your blood stream and cross the placenta, so that really freaked me out. After a lot of shopping and research, i found a few shampoos that are free of all those chemicals, including chemicals that hold perfume and scents. This Ursa Major shampoo had the best price point while also being free of all the chemicals i want to avoid. While it is still pricey, its still considerably cheaper than the other ones i found. I will tell you it is definitely worth the price. It leaves my hair soft, shiny and light. It does not weigh down my hair at all. It moisturizes really well, i don't even have to use conditioner. It has a very strong natural scent though, its not a bad smell but it is quite strong. The best way i can describe it is reminds me of oregano. But hey, its all natural, so i cant complain. I recently ran out of this stuff, and i had to use some left overs i had from a cheap H-E-B natural shampoo and the difference was significant. The cheap shampoo left my hair really dry. So i immediately ordered more of this Ursa Major shampoo. I'm now on my second bottle and both times it arrived on time and undamaged. I bought it straight from the Ursa Major seller on amazon though. A little goes a long way with this shampoo, so even though its a small bottle, it lasts quite some time. My first bottle lasted me from the beginning of May, until the end of June. I have very fine hair but a lot of it.

I thought the smell was great, maybe they've changed their formula since I read many sharing the strong scent. This was light and refreshing. Loved the way it lathered and immediately made my hair soft in the shower. You don't need much. Have tried without and with conditioner (my hair is fine but lots of it, getting very dry with age) and use it both ways. Pleasant surprise for shampoo that was a splurge for me! Yay!

I am bleached blonde. This shampoo I use once every week. Doesn’t strip my hair leaving it frizzy and dry. My hair is in gorgeous condition after 2 uses. A solid beauty purchase at last.

Scent is great (smells like ginger ale to me) and the ingredients are exactly what I'm looking for, however when I use this shampoo it strips my hair of all the oils. Definitely cleans everything out but I would like if it wasn't so aggressive. Using half of what I would regularly use from modern mammals strips a lot less of my hair oils

I had high hopes but it left my hair kind of limp and lackluster. I won’t be buying again. It had a great scent & lather though.

Only small portion is needed to get nice and sudsy. My hair is thin and fine and this doesn’t weigh it down at all. Definitely recommend
