Used as a canvas stretcher
I purchased this for a fraction of the cost of the tool I was going to buy. Quality canvas stretching plyers are difficult to locate and the ones that are high quality are close to 90 dollars for what equates to sheet metal plyers. Works great and quality of the tool is much higher than most of the plyers and less expensive than the higher quality canvas stretchers I could find. What makes those worth 90 and this one 25, putting canvas stretcher in the name apparently.

well made, functional tool
Very nice tool. Sturdy and well-made. The jaws are 1 inch with 1/4” guide markers on each side to enable an even crimp. I have bent, aluminum, flashing, hardware, cloth, and windows screen. This still worked well on all these materials. Will be trying 22 gauge copper next. I will update this review if the tool does not work for that gauge. I am a 73 year-old handy-woman with arthritis in my hands. This tool was not a problem to use. Well designed grip helped with leverage.

Good product worth the investment.
Comfortable grips, works with ease, beats having to pay $60 for a pair from somewhere else that will do the same thing

Bought for my leather work.
I needed an easy way to flatten edges of small leather patches I was making. Leather was cut on a laser, then stamped with design. My design left a raised edge around the 400 token/patches. These worked great for flattening the edges. Very strong and good quality.

Handy tool
This is a nice tool to bend light metal to desired angle. Use it on sheet metal for gutters and some dust work. Pleased with purchase.

Great invention!
Didn't think I'd need one of these, but when you need it, works great. Problem with straightening out a line of aluminum using vice grips, channel locks is you bend it into the shape of the end of the tool. With these, you can bend the 3 inches at a time needed to form a STRAIGHT LINE. When you do get the hang of using these, the line you produce is very close to factory. Little bit of patience is needed, but you'll get there.

Poor lock design
The tool works well, but the design of the lock to keep it in closed position is poor. The lock lever bears against one of the sides of a hex head bolt which connects the handle to the jaw. If the bolt rotates even slightly as the tool is used the lock will not engage until the bolt is rotated slightly. This requires using pliers to rotate it, and this happens almost every time I use it.
