Fun, Mess-Free, and Perfect for Creative Kids!
This Crayola Twistables set is a huge hit in our house! The 50 vibrant colors keep kids entertained for hours, and the twist-up design means no sharpening or mess — just twist and color. It’s perfect for Easter baskets, travel, or everyday coloring time. The pencils glide smoothly on paper, and they don’t break easily like traditional colored pencils. Great for kids 4 and up, and honestly, even adults will enjoy using them for stress-free coloring. Definitely a must-have for young artists!

Such an amazing product
At the hospital, they had these to color with. You see coloring, relaxes you. These are the size of a colored pencil, but you turn the crayon out. I thought these were a terrific idea. My daughter likes using colored pencils, but she always has to sharpen them. With these you just twist and a little bit more crayon comes out. I purchased a set for myself and for her. These are just an amazing idea. And with 50 colors, how can you go wrong?

Great quality colored pencil
Nice variety of colors. Smooth flow onto paper. Fairly easy to twist out from pencil without being too easy - don't want the crayon to fall out. Very nice.

Dependable Crayola quality
I have loved coloring and drawing my whole life (I’m 55) and these are my favorite crayon/pencils, especially for casual coloring with the grandkids. Occasionally you get one that either the “lead” falls out, or pushes back in while using…but 99% of the time they’re great! Great color saturation, and not waxy.

Waxy & don't blend very well, but great for coloring tiny spaces & I enjoy using them
I enjoy coloring and in the past have purchased a few sets of Twistables for myself and gifts. They don't need sharpened, & are great to color tiny spaces.Several years ago, there weren't a lot of color choices. When I saw this set of 50, I put it in my cart, waited for the price to come down & finally purchased a couple sets late in Dec. 2021 - one for myself & one for my granddaughter. It must've been a great deal or the price has gone up substantially since then, but then again, what hasn't gone up in price. Both our sets have been working as they should. We've had no problems.Twistables are waxy, don't blend very well, & some colors aren't as vibrant as I'd like, but, all in all, I enjoy coloring with them. I really like that I can color tiny spaces with them. When my 5 yr. old granddaughter uses them, we watch her closely so she won't twist too much color/lead out which would cause it to break off. We put them up so she has to ask to use them. Otherwise, I think she'd have all the color/lead either twisted out or broken.A couple things that I don't like:--These have no color names or numbers on them, and the color of the pencil doesn't usually match the actual color. After a while I got tired of that inconvenience and started numbering the top of the pencil with a permanent marker then I made a swatch sheet with the corresponding numbers.--The box is so flimsy! Oh my gosh, there's no way I can keep the pencils straight. Some will fall down and lay across the bottom of the box, others will be sideways, or sometimes they'll double up and the box will bulge. I'll eventually put them in a pouch or a pencil box.The picture I attached was done entirely in Twistables. It's from Daydreams by Hanna Karlzon.

Good Quality
I originally purchase the twistable crayons - not good quality, and the color barely came onto the glossy, thick paper on the Thomas Kinkade coloring book. These colored well (soft lead…almost like crayons), and I could color faster than the Amazon colored pencil. I didn’t want to spend over $100 on Prismacolors. With these, you can maneuver thick or thin lines by the shift of the pencil and angle. The box is very flimsy though - it came all ripped and damaged (not sure why they’re not using quality cardboard). I also wish they would have made an optional cover/tear like they use to make for crayons. It’s not so easy to grab the colors out since you have to pull them out. Hence, I’ll need to find a plastic container for the pencils. I love how these are twistable (this is really why I purchased these). I might buy the adult Crayola markers too.

These are crayons not pencils, but a GREAT product.
This product really jump started crayoning quality for our 8 year old. They are so much easier to use than traditional crayons. Like the lead in a mechanical pencil, the crayon is always sharp and well formed.Super easy to use the twisting function when you need more crayon.Since it is like a mechanical pencil, the pencil never gets smaller. The only downside? These are more expensive that traditional crayons. Also, it is all but impossible to get the pencils back in the box they came in, so we used a separate box.It would have been nice if the crayon color was printed on the pencil. On the plus side, both ends of the pencil show the color.
