This is an update to my previous review. After being contacted from higher level support, I was sent a replacement tv. Got it mounted and it works great. Guess I got a defective unit. Huge shout out to Leah and Leeke for taking the time to address my issue.Previous review:Picture is outstanding and very bright. My only issue is when in direct sunlight (with 80 degree temps) it seems to overheat and the screen goes very dark. The sound is still on. I have to unplug it and put it in the shade for 15-20 minutes then it’ll work for another 30 minutes. I put a pool umbrella over it to shade it and it works fine. This is not why I bought it. Contacted support several times, but was told that was just the nature of the tv and good luck. Don’t advertise it as DIRECT SUNLIGHT if it fails in DIRECT SUNLIGHT. My $300 Vizio worked this well for $2000 less.

Came in without a hitch - good brightness for what I need and picture quality is as good as one needs given it's outdoors and you're going to lose a lot of detail with the light anyway. Only issue was the remote - it was completely non-functional when I got the TV. Searched the web and found nothing. Called Sylvia and was given a simple fix - press and hold the HOME and BACK buttons until he Netflix logo starts flashing. Simple fix - should be in the manual or online - but alas, I leave it here for everyone to find ;)

This TV is great for our backyard. This isn't the brightest model they offer but since our deck is mostly in the shade we can now enjoy streaming movies and shows outside. Speakers aren't that great but bluetooth allows you to connect to external device such as receiver or a soundbar for better sound. It is completely enclosed and weatherproofed which makes it a bit heavy so keep that in mind when choosing the bracket. Set up was easy. Connected to my WiFi w/o any issues. Comes with a standard IR remote but you can order bluetooth one separately in case you want to control from further away.

For the price, you would love to believe you are buying a great working product. My Sylvox 55” Deck Series came packaged well, remote setup was easy and seamless.However there are a few things, that you think the folks would have seen as glaring issues before releasing this product (unless they are so evil that they only want you to purchase their $700 sound bar and their overpriced mounting hardware).First the bar spacing for the back mounting. The mounting holes are inconveniently 24” apart. I bought a mounting kit for outdoor mounting on uneven surfaces, and low and behold that 24” gap prevented it from being hung on the bracket bars.THE SOUND is horrible! For the price, this should be no issue, there are plenty of outdoor speakers that are waterproof that sound great, heck, my iPhone has some waterproofing and it doesn’t sound like this. The audio sounds like it’s being played out of a coffee can. The fact that it sounds so horrible seems intentional. When I purchased the TV I figured if it was an issue that I could connect my Bluetooth speaker (since the TV has Bluetooth). Can you? NOPE! It appears the TV deliberately doesn’t pickup BT Speaker signals. Do you need the $700 Sylvox speaker? No, you can use any audio speaker with the headphone jack, but, this is 2024, not 2004. I cannot imagine, being the CEO or even the Quality Assurance team at Sylvox and being okay with releasing such a poorly sounding product.Yellow Tinted Screen Edges: When playing at night time, you can very much see yellow/green tinting around the edges of the entire screen when the scene is dark. It makes it appear cheap and poorly made.I’m so much invested in this TV now, that returning it would be such a headache. But had I known what I know now, I would have never ordered it. It may be waterproof but at the expense of super unusable sound and poor image quality, I should have just gotten an indoor tv mounted to a cart that I could wheel inside when the weather got bad.

The media could not be loaded. So, first of all this has two remotes and I couldn't get either of them to work. After I emailed product support, they said I have to pair the remote first. Once I got it set up, I noticed when switching back and forth between platforms, the sound would change dramatically and I would have to keep going in and changing the sound settings. THEN, after one week of using this TV, it randomly turned it self back on and then quit turning on all together. Product support was amazing though! They explained that it must be an internal issue but sent me a replacement right away. My new TV is great! Great picture and sound quality no matter what platform I use.

Sylvox is a great product! I’m currently on my second outdoor full sun pool series tv. No competitors can compete with Sylvox especially in price. I’ve left it out in some rain storms and its durability is second to none. My first tv had a small issue with in warranty but customer service was amazing. On top of the situation, responded daily to consecutive back and forth emails. (Sunny was great!) I will purchase this product again when in need for an upgrade.
