Good, but the Guest list is better
The book was really good and I loved all the characters. I could not understand why Doug's chapters were in 3rd person, but besides that, the writing was brilliant

The Guest List is much better.
I read ‘The Guest List’ before I read ‘The Hunting Party’. I liked the Guest List much better. The thrills, POVs, description are quite similar to The Guest List. I guess am bored with the similar pattern. Story’s okayish, the stalking, the killer’s silly accidental killing made Me feel climax’s a let down, a bit unpractical. Am hoping the other Lucy’s books I have doesn’t have similar mystery, but a different plot. Finished this in one day. Received in good paperback condition from Amazon.

A gripping thriller
This mystery was fast paced and gripping. Told from the perspective of various charcters, this story kept hold of me from the beginning. The plot is interesting and the book is highly atmospheric. It is a kind of play on the closed room mystery and worked perfectly for me.

Good Read. Very realistic emotions.
The author is great in painting the smallest of emotions of all the characters. Very good build of characters which make it a interesting read. SOME TIMES we relate us or our best friends with the story.

An atmospheric, riveting and suspenseful debut in the genre.
Everyone's invited... everyone's a suspect.Old friends from Oxford meet to welcome the New Year in the Scottish Highlands. This is a tradition they started ten years ago and continued since then. The trip begins very good but slowly their secrets begin to surface and cracks become visible in their friendships. On the New Year's Day, one of them will be dead and another one of them did it. But which of the guests is dead and which one of them did it is a mystery that is constructed excellently. I didn't guess their identities until revealed by the author.Told from five POV's of Heather, Emma, Katie, Doug and Miranda, this is an excellent closed room murder mystery with thirteen suspects which will keep you hooked until the very end. Narration of the story is excellent and smooth.I loved each and every character of this story because the characters are 100% relatable. I could relate with everyone of them. I loved the characters of Miranda and Katie. They're brilliant characters. Other characters are awesome too.Overall, this is an atmospheric, riveting and suspenseful story and a treat for murder mystery fans. Highly recommended.

KLPD
Very average affair with respect to The Guest List. Boring elaborative prose are unbearable to digest. Backward -forward way of narration is not very effective. In a way it's psychological indeed but not a thriller as much.
