I use this basically to give my hair a rich medium brown. but I am normally a grey mix of dirty blond and brown. I actually got this initially to fix my hair when I tried to do blond highlights and ended up with a terrible golden yellow orange color. I initially got the one that was red and medium brown, but it only caused the hair to turn pink. Out of frustration, I said well, I guess I will be Elvis, and I got the black. To my surprise, I just left it in about 10 minutes and it came out with a perfect medium brown. Looked totally normal and since it is semi perm it washes out over a week or so. If I had gone to the hair dresser they would have said the hair is ruined and cut it. I did not want to cut my hair. Within a week or so the blond highlights began coming through gradually like normal. I could do the black again for 10 minutes OR just keep washing like normal and see what I think of the gradual return. What I really like about this is it is safe, comes all mixed already, like a shampoo, and is semi perm so no damage. If you leave it in 20 minutes, it is more darker, even ash, so try 10 minutes at first. The best thing is the orange golden hair was fixed for cheap.

I wanted to stop dyeing my hair, but I didn't want to have a sharp line where the grey/ white hair was growing in. Also, the dyed hair was turning orangey over time :( This product worked well to revive the black color of the dyed hair. Also, while it does not completely cover white/ grey hair, it did give a bit of color to mine, so again the line wasn't dramatic. The color does come off a little on pillowcases/ towels, even with thorough hair rinsing. Luckily, I was able to wash out the color from the pillowcases and towels. I appreciated having this product, though I am not happy to have my natural grey hair which requires no chemicals or maintenance :)

It leaves your hair soft but that’s about it, I had zero difference in my hair and I left it on for at least 20 min, multiple sessions. I feel like it’s not the same as the original because when I first bought it in store it worked well, but now it seems to be different wouldn’t recommend this anymore

The red will definitely do something to light hair but the mask needs existing pigment to stick to, aka not a good option for covering grey hairs. Great product other wise.

Didn't really hide my greys like I had hoped but it did leave a shine I guess

When I colored my hair it would turn brassy orange in a week. Instead I just put this in instead and it looks natural. It gets on my shirt if it has a collar but it’s the best out there so I deal with it.

I love how all you have to do is wash hair once and then out the stuff in hair and leave it for ten to fifteen minutes. Color perfect
