Just got it today and I immediately tested on a piece of wood, very sharp blade that cut with ease, very pretty handle I am very happy with it,

This arrived promptly, and as per other reviews, I found the packaging underwhelming. If you are buying this as a gift consider buying a necklace box from a jewellers to display it inThe knife- well what can I say! After I found it (it was a little knife amongst other items), I was stunned by this beautiful little work of art. Excellent quality, with a razor sharp blade, it is a very well made and lovely knife. Even my husband was impressed, a miracle in itself.The blade is thin and elegant, I would not advise trying to lever anything open with it, it is strictly for it"s intended pupose of cutting and slicing..If I had a complaint, it would be that the quality of the ring to attach it to keys or a belt loop is terrible compared to the knife itself. I swapped it out quickly, ( I don't want to lose my new favourite possession), and put it on a good quality small carabiner. The detail and shell inlay are stunning. I will not be putting it on my keys (although it is small enough) as I feel the inlay could be chipped that way, which would be a shame.Lightweight and small, this knife ( if cared fir properly and the blade oiled regularly to protect it) could become something my grandchildren will covet and provide years of excellent use.It was worth every penny I spent. I may look to see if they fo a larger version with a bit more weight for my bag.

If you read description states Damascus, what it should say is monkey metal with printed Damascus looks pretty from afar but built quality is pants for price…. Won’t be buying any more

At £69 for a small pen knife I would expect reasonable quality manufacturing.The blade is not Damascus steel. It's a transfer printed on the blade.The Brass edging -is not brass.The shell inlay, is plastic and on receipt was comming off the handle. It wasn't even stuck on properly!!The box was a cheap cardboard pack with a plastic inner sleeve. It made the product look even worse than it was.Actual value ? At a sea side gift shop I'd expect to pay £5-12.Really really bad value and a truly dire product for the price.

im very happy with this knife, if i could make any suggestion it would be that id have liked it to have come in some kind of case. but regardless its a beautiful piece of craftsmanship.
