Works great as PTouch Kit (PT-2600)
Holds up to 16 TZ tapes of various sizes, the labeler, instruction manuals, USB cable, CD, and AC Power Supply. As always, well protected and rugged. The pluck and pull foam was easy to use. If you put the time into it, you can create some very nice setups with the foam. If you cut any of the foam to varying heights, be sure to put the messy (cut) side down where it can't be seen so you end up with a nice, smooth professional bottom for your components. This also adds strength back into the remaining foam pieces.Use a hot-glue gun if you need to (re)secure any of the foam back into the case. Glue on the bottom for a professional finish. This also adds a little more rigidity to the foam compartments.Pelican will absolutely honor their warranty (and they are serious about not covering damage by children under 5 - don't ask me how I know) :P. To replace, you will need to send the old case in at your expense and they will repair or replace the case. The pluck-n-pull section is made up of a grid of 30x19 1/2" foam pieces, and the usable area (with foam) is 4 to 4.5 inches deep. (the foam is 4 inches deep and you can have roughly 1/2" of product poking above the foam). The pluck-n-pull section contains about a 1 inch perimeter of foam that is not pluckable and there is a 1" foam pad that is used for bottom support beneath the pluck-n-pull section. With foam, you have a workable area of roughly 15in. x 9.5in. x 4.5in.The 1500 case is a great general purpose equipment case, and is legal as carry-on for travel. These are basic guidelines that should be roughly true for all Peli cases with the pluck-n-pull foam. It would be nice if they published more details about workable area with the foam, so hopefully these details will help someone looking for the right sized case.

Great Protective Case
I love this case- it's unbelievable!! It's perfect for a scope, camera or other valuable optics, guns, etc. I wasn't sure if it would protect my Zeiss Spotting Scope, which has an objective lens of 85mm. Without the eyepiece, it's 14 inches long. It fits just right, and leaves about 2inches of foam on each end for protection. I wasn't sure how the foam would work, but it works like a charm. The foam is really easy to set up. You just lay your item in the case and as they suggest, you can use toothpicks or chalk to outline your item. Then you can remove the foam to perfectly fit your item, depth and width. Plus you can save the foam you remove for future use as needed. The case is super strong and waterproof. Well worth every penny!!I and I'll be buying more soon.

High-quality Pelican case, of course!
When it comes to cases, you get what you pay for - and this case is worth it! Solid construction, snaps closed very firmly; I'd trust it to protect my gear if it got dropped, and protect it from the rain.I use this to store my Borg 76mm refractor, which perfectly fits the width of the punch-able foam with all accessories after the focuser removed. There is also room for the clamps, the long and short tubes for attaching 2" and 1.25" eyepieces, and one of those little Televue red-dot finders. The foam squares are easy to remove to customize the shape of the foam to perfectly fit your gear. I'd recommend removing them in chunks because it's easier, and then you can put them back in later if desired.Highly recommend!

Pretty Great!
I had bought a really expensive camera recently, and was havening a hard time trying to find a good, quality case to properly protect my gear. With the pull and pluck Styrofoam I thought it was going to be pretty hard to get the perfect dimensions for everything I needed to fit in there. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the pull and pluck was easy enough to remove, to where I could do it precisely with my hand. I haven't tested out the water resistance, because I'm not going to risk my life's savings for an experiment. Although, if you have an extra bit of cash to spend, I think this case will protect your assets very well.

Pelican 1500 Yellow
First off, I bought this for my GoPro setup, and I purchased the yellow for it's "stand-out" color.I recently got back into scuba diving and absolutely wanted some video footage from said diving, and wanted a case to:A. ProtectB. FloatC. Be easily identifiableThe case protects my camera and accessories from impact as well as water! During a recent dive, all my accessories and spare batteries were left on-deck and in the case, which stayed perfectly dry. I did not attempt any drop-tests to check durability, but this thing is a solidly built tank of a case! It's going to be on a boat often, and around water... So I threw the solidly built, highly visible Pelican into the pool one afternoon for about an hour. After playing around in the water for a while with the GoPro (submerging the case several times) it was time to check the contents. The heavy rubber gasket around the perimeter of the case kept the inside of the case watertight. --I wouldn't recommend everyone do testing such as this because there is always some risk involved.Visibility.. On a boat full of gear, this yellow case is easily seen, even in low light! Perfect! The latches to close the case are very solidly built with some kind of secondary "catch" in the mechanics of it. Long solid hinged rear of the case. You can easily fit several GoPro cameras with many accessories in here. Exactly what I wanted
