Perfect!
Perfect for single birds laying eggs! At 27 yrs old, my CAG started laying eggs! I replaced hers with the dummies and it worked perfect! The information that comes with the eggs are super helpful as well. My bird laid 3 eggs total. After 29 days, I took 1 egg every other day. With the last one, she looked for it 4 times & suddenly came back to life! She had been on the bottom of her cage the whole time sitting on eggs. Awesome product & seller!

Identical to real eggs.
My african grey has not noticed the difference. They are the same size as her real ones. Texture of the egg is also 👌.

Just what I had been searching for!
I have an approximately 18 year old Congo African Grey Parrot that I hand raised & fed as a hatchling after discovering she seemed to be having trouble breaking away from her shell. My mother and I used to breed and hand raise/feed CAG's and sell them to well checked out bird owners. Angel my CAG was one of our last babies from our last breeding. A few years ago she started laying eggs, 2-3 a few days apart but did not actively obsess over them or guard them like she started doing this time. In fact, she has become down right Broody this go around. She'd lain 3 eggs by the time these showed up at the house so I had to get creative to make a make shift "nest" with the 4 dummy eggs in it and pull a fast switcheroo on her so she didn't see that I had not placed her eggs with dummy eggs but also get the makeshift "nest" into her cage without her becoming upset more than she was when I introduced the new strange object onto the floor of her cage. Now, don't laugh or judge but, I chose to use this small cast iron pan we had in the back of the pots and pans cabinet, it was strong enough to withstand her beak trying to chew on it as well as just heavy enough she couldn't easily try moving it or "tossing" it if she got angry or frustrated too. That and lol when she did step into it, she fit Perfectly when she sat down and fluffed herself up to sit on the dummy eggs too! (Lol its a hilarious sight but trying to take a photo of her in it has been difficult as she starts stamping her feet and puffing herself up to make her look larger, like I said; Super broody!!) My husband when he got home and saw it laughed and said, "Really?" Though he did understand my logic when I explained my crazy choice. He also kept saying , " you mean 5" when I mentioned the 4 eggs and how the were the right size and color of the CAG's eggs till I finally asked him why he kept saying 5 and, at that moment Angel had chosen to climb up onto her perch to get a drink of water and that's when I saw that, Yep damn it there Were 5, not 4 eggs! I had Thought I had timed it just right that she wasn't in the process of making her 4th egg but turned out, I was wrong! So, now here it is about 5 wks later and...the brat has yet to become bored or disinterested in sitting on her makeshift nest. If I walk towards her cage when she's on one of her perches she immediately makes her way down to her nest grouching and grumbling then proceeds to do her little stomping fluffed up dance to "scare" me off. Sooo, good news these work like a charm; Bad news...they work to darn well lol! I know if I try removing these before she looses interest its highly likely she will start the whole creating eggs process again and that is and can be very dangerous for the hen because for every egg she lays, her body looses much needed calcium and loose to much calcium to soon and she could break a bone or worse die due to a calcium deficiency! Soo guess I'll just wait and either she'll loose interest or accidentally break her one real egg while rearranging the eggs and it will either upset her or cause her to see her eggs won't hatch cause she has no mate! Lol I am really hoping she looses interest before it breaks. So, yes I would totally recommend these egg's to other CAG or TAG (Timney African Grey) hen owners! After all, spaying/neutering birds is far, far riskier than spaying and neutering your dog or cat as birds react strangely to anesthesia sometimes. If your not looking to breed your parrot, purchasing these dummy eggs is the Best way to go! Especially if you learn the signs to her starting to become broody and wanting to nest!

Perfect eclectus eggs
These are the same size and shape as my eclectus parrot’s eggs. They warm up too! I know she can tell the difference but she treats them as her own and sits on them for three and a half weeks until deciding they are duds, I can just keep replacing her real (unfertilized) eggs with these and she won’t have to deal with her eggs breaking under her!

I am so satisfied
The weight and and appearance were spot on. My birdie didn't notice the difference. I recommend that the egg is brought up to body temperature before substituting.

Didn’t include direction pamphlet
The eggs are nice and area as described. I doubt my parrot will notice the difference. Unfortunately they didn’t come with the instruction pamphlet!

They work. Just try it. Eggcellent!
It really worked. Our African gray parrot was laying egg after egg and it was a bit concerning because she was going to lose too much calcium along with other nutrients. Her eggs were coming out a little bit on the soft side so they would keep breaking and she would end up playing more to replace them. These are nice and sturdy. They’re also easy to wash hint hint, you get the idea.I only had to take one star off because the eggs have a ridge in them where they manufacture them on each egg. They do include a nail file so you can smooth them out but it would take a lot of filing to get rid of those ridges and honestly, we really just don’t have a lot of time and so that was an extra step that we really could’ve done without. The quality was awesome otherwise the weight was fantastic Bird took to them immediately as if they were her own and has sat on them for days happily. She did not notice at all when I took away the real ones. I just didn’t let her see that I did it so you might want to do a little magic to hide what you’re doing if that’s helpful. I would say it’s worth it so go ahead and purchase some if you have any reservations it’s worth a try. She did not notice at all when I took away the real ones.
