VancoEVEX2006 Evolution Ultra Slim HDMI Single Cat5e/6 Cable Extender with PoE

There isn’t a whole lot to review with this product. It either works or it doesn’t. It either last a while or it breaks quickly. I had to re-replace my replacement within 2 months. That was very disappointing, but it worked well for those two months…..I’m trying an off brand now for less than half the price and haven’t had to replace those yet and they’ve been connected twice as long…..

Pretty expensive to only 13 months out of it (purchased 8/12/18). Will try a less expensive brand ($40 - 4 stars) and see if I get 3 months?

Horrible baluns. Especially at their price point. I only use these because my client already had them in house. I ordered four pairs and two of the four don't work one being a replacement of the original. Beyond the waste of time and like I said at the price point you're throwing your money away.

quality isn't very good, it only lasted 3 months. need to contact manufacturer for replacement now. i can't return it to amazon either. what can i do? Seller please contact me.

As an AV integrator I have used many different brand Baluns and each have had problems of their own. I was introduced to the EVEX2006 model and started using it and have had no problems whatsoever and I have a few that were installed over 1.5 years ago and I have not received any calls from the customers. This is a great HDMI Balun and also has 2-way IR and comes with the IR sensors for both sides. I highly recommend this Balun and still use it daily.

I own a Audio Video Company. Any Time I do distributive video in a house/building I use Vanco. Yes, they are expensive but for flicker free use they have no competition. Whats great about this unit is that you don't need power on both sides for the adapters. Just one and the other one is powered over the cat5 wire! Yes, theres many cheaper ones but none of them work like Vanco Period!
