This item arrived with a dead battery. Once battery was replaced (at my cost) the item would power on but DOES NOT FUNCTION. It will only intermittently connect via bluetooth and, without moving either my phone or the device, will sporadically disconnect. It is not functional. At all. Very disappointed.

It only works via Bluetooth and will never show the last known location... it doesn't work unless the item is on your person or within 5 feet

I attached Traxxit to a couple of sets of keys, and a small medical bag that my wife needs to keep handy. The Devices work fine as advertised. I have a G7 Samsung phone no problems with the app.

To start, the "Traxx it" software is ridiculous, it can't seem to remember the trackers after restart and needs too many permissions. Download the iTracing2 software from the Play Store instead. Regarding the tracker itself, I bought 2 and one arrived with a dead battery while the other one seems to work alright once you have the better app installed. The device is not weather sealed so you'd want to make sure it doesn't get wet. You could probably wrap tape around the edges if you need to have it exposed to the elements. Speaking of that, you'll probably want to mount the tracker on the outside due to the relatively weak alarm. It's useful for finding something in a home or apartment but may not work in a busy public space. I ordered some new CR2032 batteries and I'll give them a try. I paid 8.99 a piece for them so it's not too big a loss if they aren't reliable over time.

Have never used it. Unable to activate. Couldn't get the search beep to sound. May have a bad battery, but. Haven't had time to get a new one.

Right out of the box, this thing is very confusing. Instructions are included, but something's been "lost in translation" so to speak. I downloaded the app is suggests, but it asks for about a billion permissions, though it also seems to offer a lot of function in trade; damned if I know what they are, exactly, because the descriptions are equally broken as the instructions. It's all beside the point as it wouldn't connect.I did eventually find it and pair with it over Bluetooth, and then downloaded the iTagOne app, which immediately found it as well as my neighbor's tile. If he ever borrows something and doesn't bring it back, I'll find some way to make that useful. Once connected, everything worked great.Side note, it might help some of you out there to know that holding the button 3-5 seconds turns it on and off, and it appears to be necessary to pair the device itself manually in your Bluetooth settings before connecting via app
