Surya Nature Henna Red Cream - 2.37 Ounce

I’ve been using this for approximately 22 yrs now. I almost changed the color shade to Burgundy , but panicked and quickly switched back to the Red. I just enjoy it so much and so easy to use.

I have been coloring my hair for about ten years and wanted to find something that would give me the color and gray coverage I want without the harsh chemicals. I have tried powdered henna products in the past, and while I love the color I've gotten with them, they are messy to use and you need to leave the henna paste on your hair for several hours or even overnight for the best results. Surya Henna Cream is very easy to apply and the waiting period, after application, is about 30-45 minutes, depending on the color results you are trying to achieve. Another big plus is the fact that it rinses out easily, unlike powdered hennas.I have shoulder length hair and one bottle was sufficient to color it but if you have long hair, you might want to consider using two. According to the directions, if you have any product left over you can reseal the bottle and use it at another time, so no worries about waste. The package also includes a pair of non-latex gloves and a "shower cap" to cover your hair after applying the cream. Surya Henna Cream provided me with good gray coverage and a beautiful shade of red hair, plus my hair also felt soft and looked healthy and shiny after it dried. I will be buying this again.

I have strong, thick, darkbrown, on-the-dry-side hair (with red highlights) that I have been coloring for years (mainly to cover gray/white; now becoming more than 50%). I have been using the cheapest product (Revlon permanent) with consistent great to good results. My hair has always looked so very natural, and that is because I know enough to go a shade or two ! lighter, and then i cover the roots with a darker color. I used to make my hair gleam with A&D ointment --or NeoSporin! so it must be the petroleum jelly that works so well--but have now switched to coconut oil. Have never found anything that works better than A&D, including Argan, Shikai shine, etc. etc. etc. I also sometimes alternate up the highlight I choose each time. Sometimes I use burgandy, and sometimes auburn, but still will put in a dark golden brown or other brown to deal with my roots. Any time I have used natural dry henna, it was such a mess and didn't really cover. More recently I decided to try the liquid henna of Surya Brasil as I saw it didn't even have a particular chemical that the other so-called natural hair dyes have in them. I have found that the Surya Brasil CHOCOLATE BROWN is great, and then what I do is cover my roots with Surya Brasil Black, which blends fine. Down side is I've found I need to leave the color in like THREE HOURS. The RED was next to useless it seems, but I'm thinking of trying it again on my dry hair, just to give it a lift/dimensionality. I didn't really like the Mahogany as it is on the orange side. I have sometimes dyed my hair Revlon Auburn, but henna oranges are too orangey. The Surya Brasil product itself feels clean to me and I feel good after (not slightly toxic/agitated). It does leave my hair healthy/hydrated-looking. I like to switch back and forth due to the fact that the henna tends to look porous in the sun!!! The up side is the henna does not seem to "layer" on its own. Revlon hair color layers; if you dye your hair often enough, almost ANY color (other than blonde) will start laying on as black. And I really cannot stand that! (p.s. i have also used Clairol, Garnier, Vidal Sasoon, salon color. They're all similar to Revlon, except Vidal Sasoon seemed hazy so I never did it again. Salon Color is great sometimes but many stylists don't want to put out the supreme effort to get it right so they just dye it darker than you want it to cover everything and call it a "color correction" for $100).

If I had gray hair, which I am not saying I do...but if I did, this product is what I would use on my roots for in-between times of full coloring (which I would use another product do do). Basically, I would use a little brush (like a touch-up brush, an eyebrow brush or even an old toothbrush) to dip in to this Henna Red Cream Surya Nature bottle (which has a little squeeze spout lid, but I would twist it off and never use it) and then apply this directly to the in-coming gray roots...then I would just leave it in (doing this just after shampooing) and dry my hair as usual. I would wear plastic gloves when drying, because I would probably scruntch my hair as I dried it with the hair drier and the left in creme would most likely color my fingers if I didn't wear gloves. Yes! I would leave it in my hair and just dry it in, and it would be fine because henna is like a natural conditioner. Just sayin'...of course, I don't have gray hair...I have red hair, so you don't have to take my recommendation or advice if you don't want to. ;)

I hate leaving bad reviews so I’m trying to be fair. I love the color! It applied wonderfully and wasn’t like all the powders that I used to use and their so messy and just overwhelming, this was like traditional dye with the beautiful tip applicator in the bottle with gloves a hair net and instructions (English is there along with many other languages.) but my main complaint with this and only complaint really is...it bleeds, I read other reviews saying it bleeds, and I figured I’ll guve it a shot, also read a review that said they left it in longer, I left mine in to for over 90 minutes, and it bled when I rinsed it, which I expected, but I did not wash it for 4 days! Used dry shampoo as another reviewer said & suggested, when I washed it bled then, and washed today and again, also noticed the color list it’s vibrance super fast & I don’t go out in the sun, so if your a sunshine lover, this product won’t hold up like the powder hennas I’ve used. I feel really bad, if this company can find a way to make the color not bleed during washing, and make the color stay vibrant longer like most traditional powdered hennas, then I’ll buy again, but for the price it’s too high for something that doesn’t last and runs. Hope this helps all affiliated parties. Oh I also bought the hair mask as well, helped really condition but That I loved had no issues with. They recommend using all their products so that could also have something to do with the color not locking, but if somehow it’s improved to not run, I’ll def big again! Thanks hope this helps! Die Farbe ist sehr schön, das rot ist Kräftig und eher etwas dunkler, das finde ich aber nicht schlimm.Das auftragen war ganz leicht, man muss nichts anmischen alles schon fertig. Einwirken hab ich eine Stunde lang gemacht, raus waschen hat etwas gedauert, aber dass ist normal wenn man sich die Haare färbt.Das Ergebnis ist super schön.Färben ohne schlechtes Gewissen, das wird meine neue Farbe :)

Encantada con su color y con estos tintes. Llevo años utilizandolos, y estoy encantada. Soy alérgica a la phenilendiamina y es uno de los poquiiiiiiiiísimos que puedo utilizar. Es verdad q no trae mucho cantidad para el precio que tiene, ya que tengo el pelo largo y siempre se me va más de uno.

OMG, what have I just used on my hair?!!! I've been colouring my hair for years and been all colours under the sun!I've always wanted to try a vegetable Henna and found this one. It came yesterday and I used it tonight...IT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING STUFF!!! No smell, no dripping, no choking, no stinging...just a beautiful, glorious colour!I left it on for 6 hours...too lazy to wash it really!! When I was rinsing it, it felt SO smooth and silky that I felt I didn't need conditioner!Normally, my hair without conditioner, after a regular colour is like a bird's nest! Tonight it's smooth and shiny...WITHOUT conditioner!I am a complete and utter convert now and will NEVER go back to a chemical colour...Trust me, this is the ABSOLUTE BEST colour I have ever used in my life!! It's bloody lovely!!(I can't add photo's as it looks orange instead of red...I need to take pictures in natural light)It's ready mixed...you get gloves and a cap to wear...put it on, massage it in and voila!ABSOLUTELY, UTTERLY AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO YOU ALL!!!

Ich bin mit dem Produkt und der Farbe sehr zufrieden. Als jahrelange Benutzerin von Hennapulver, dem damit verbundenen umständlichen Gebrauch und dem Geruch bin ich dankbar, auf Surya Brasil gestoßen zu sein. Es ist ganz leicht aufzutragen. Ich lasse die Farbe nur länger einwirken als auf der Gebrauchsanweisung angegeben, nämlich ca. 2 Stunden.

I bought the "Red" colour and love it. My hair is dark brown but starting to get grey at the sides of my face. This henna colours well and stays for quite a few weeks. I keep it on for 1 hour and find that gives excellent results.There is plenty in the pack for shoulder length hair. I use an old towel for drying. I wash my hair about every 3 days. I redo the colouring about 6-8 weeks later. Its a shampoo and so its easy to use and it comes with plastic gloves and a plastic head covering to keep in the warmth whilst you wait. Its great.
