***UPDATE*** I am updating my previous review because I was unaware that you needed an NVR to use this camera. I already had one but I think it should be in the description of the product. All my other POE cameras work without and NVR so I assumed that this one would also. I just don't want people to be misled that the camera will work connected to a POE switch only even when using PC software like Blue Iris. I see that the company has addressed this issue in the Q&A portion of the product. Other than that the camera is still working without any incidents.I have many IP cameras around the house but I needed one strictly for the front door to cover what my "ring" doorbell cannot see. This was a great price so I gave it a shot and I am glad I did. The resolution is great and the setup couldn't have been easier. I already had a POE switch so I didn't need any other hardware. If you do not have a POE switch you will need an inline POE adapter to get this to work. Only time will tell if this can hold up to the NY harsh winters.

what ever you do , do not open any e mails o attachments from this supplier...One the Camera has dual Software applications, DAHUA and Xmeye, how they do that I dont know...customer support always vague, the 1 star is for the supplier, The camera itself once up and going is great, but very unstable. BEWARE...

Quite good for the price, nice construction and quality image although it does seem to lag about 1.5-2 seconds behind depending on encoding settings. In H.265 such lag is common but on H.264 it should have much better latency. Only real disappointments are 1. zero instructions regarding disassembling the dome for installation, 2. date and time can't be reformatted or re-located on screen; yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss in the lower left corner is the only option.Like any other cheap IP camera, I strongly suggest blocking all outbound traffic via your router (the only traffic I allow out is NTP queries), and absolutely never use the free cloud service with these cameras. I use this model with Blue Iris but also tried it with TinyCam Pro and direct browser viewing (IE11 with their ActiveX installed).

These don't work with Hikvision POE NVR's, and the seller knows nothing about them. No help, and they are two paperweights. Apparently, you still only get what you pay for.

Simply amazing. We had previously spent hundreds of dollars on a useless system with fuzzy vision and then I scrolled upon this beauty!  This Vacam IP camera is simply a device which can transmit video data via any internet or data connection. This means you can use them to live stream whatever they’re seeing via a laptop, smartphone or pretty much any other internet-connected device with a browser, and even if you’re on the other side of the globe. There’s no complicated installation process or expensive wiring costs like there would be with a CCTV camera.  These vacam IP cameras are  connected to the PoE switch, as well as the NVR, the Internet router and a laptop or computer for remote monitoring which has made the best setup security system for our home.  We are also using the Vacam POE switch which has been beyond awesome that we now can connect multiple cameras to one switch and then only have to run one ethernet cable back to the network that the NVR is connected to.  All that been said, we will be purchasing more vacam cameras because of the great price for what we have received, such a great buy! --Also would like to mention the customer service is GREAT, they responded every time within a few hours with answers to my setup questions.

Have had it connected for a few weeks. Works perfect and built w high quality. I have it connected to an nvr. The setup is exactly how you configured any other ip camera.
