I tested all lights when arrived, 11 of the 12 worked the other stayed on, so I set that one aside and removed all batteries and discharged/recharged them, the defective one I took apart and immediately noticed the problem one of the wires wasn't soldered, I can solder this wire again I do own a soldering iron but if you don't own a soldering iron you have a defective light,I installed the 11 working ones, I have to say in 2018 I'm expecting more lumens than these, I have LED night lights that out shine these. I would say these are more like marker lights than walkway lights. If your wanting more light these are not your optionwould I purchase again...... no

Was extremely happy with product until after a couple days the lights became VERY dim. I have these lights in full sun from dusk to dawn.Also 3 of the lights won’t even works.:/

Out of 12 plastic stakes, 2 were broken when I tried to insert them into my lawn soil using a rubber mallet. Now, I have two lamps that cannot be fastened to the ground.... Can the seller send me a couple of extra plastic stakes? (If so, I am deeply appreciated and will write an updated review).Another suggestion is that in the product packaging, put a couple of extra plastic soil stakes in the box so that if one or two gets broken, we would not end up wasting the perfectly good LED lights.

When I first got these, I thought that maybe they werent really working well because they werent getting enough sun behind a tree (despite flowers and things growing in the same garden). Now all the leaves are gone and they get direct sunlight all day, and some times 3-4 (of 12) of them work, sometimes none. I think maybe 2-3 times in the 4 months I have had these have more than half of them worked on any given night.I am going to toss these in the trash, and spend a little extra money to get a quality product

Out of 12 lights in the box, 11 worked, and I really enjoyed them for four days - until the first rain. Then five lights stopped working, and I was surprised to find water inside the clear plastic cups in each of these failed lights. The product description of these says "Waterproof IP44, corrosion-resistant and can be used in all weather". Clearly, that is not the case for 50% of these lights. When I opened the black top part of the failed lights, the small circuit board and the battery inside were all wet because the wires that connect them to the solar panel on the top were not properly sealed, letting the rain water in. I also found out why one light didn't work from the start: one of the wires leading to the battery was loose inside, apparently it had been so badly soldered to the board at the factory. The lights themselves are fine, they make a pretty star pattern on the ground and remain lit for a long time after sunset, but with 50% of them not being able to survive the first rain, this product hardly deserves to be labeled as Amazon's choice for "solar yard lights outdoor".

They look great,but only 8 of the 12 worked. I suppose I could return them, but what a pain. They should have all worked upon arrival. Now that I see the comments, this is a common problem.

They are not the greatest solar lights some came broken and they do not retain solar power well, water will seep into them when it rains and they become damaged. You get what you pay for. overall they're a cheap and easy fix for lighting but if you want ones that will last you should buy more expensive ones. I like these but they're not long term effective.
