OK, so firstly there looks to be an attempt to benefit from search results with the listing. MagSafe is a very specific design using circular magnets in a particular arrangement to fix to the back of a handset. This is a magnetic base bracket with a spring-loaded clasp attachment that has no magnetic properties to it, so doesn't fit the "MagSafe" description.The base mount is actually good, constructed throughout of metal giving it strength and rigidity not often found in this style of mounting bracket. The magnetic surface has a rubberised coating so won’t scratch up any surface you mount it to, and the magnets are rather strong. The phone attachment is plastic but the spring-loaded section is strong enough to hold most if not all handsets on the market. This would have been better in my personal opinion if the phone section was MagSafe, but of cause this isn’t widely compatible without modification, whereas the fixture supplied here is.The price is a little high at £20 although I would rather pay a premium for the metal base. The ball socket attachment is a universal size and can be adapted to use a different head of your choice (I will be doing this) so dependant on your intentions, I’d say this is a pretty good product when all is considered.

Great accessory for the gym or golf cart. The magnetic hold is very strong, and it keeps my phone secure even during intense workouts or bumpy rides. The adjustable feature is handy for getting the perfect viewing angle, and it’s super easy to attach and detach my phone. However, the rotation mechanism could be smoother. While it adjusts, it feels a bit stiff, which can make fine-tuning the angle a bit tricky. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something to be aware of.Overall, it’s a solid product that does its job well, with just a bit of room for improvement in the rotation design. Still, I’d recommend it.

Even before I received this I was thinking it was never going to be worth the price (£19.99 cost at time of review). For it to even come close it would have to being very solid, have really strong magnets, grip the phone perfectly and not feel even remotely flimsy. It is all of those things and I have to admit I love it and use it all the time and I will be using even more. And I know it will last because of how well made it is, but even still I struggle with the price. I cant say it is worth 20 pounds, but at the same time it is.

This is a pretty innovative idea - and not just for use in the gym. I own a micro-camper, and space is at a premium in her, so this little gadget will fix to the metal interior, pretty much wherever I fancy putting it, and I can pop my phone in and watch a film or play some music. The magnetism is reassuringly strongand the extendable clasp allows it to fit my Samsung phone.I initially thought the clasp wouldn't be secure enough, as it doesn't grip very tightly, but after a bit of shaking around my phone stayed put and did not move nor drop out.I'm giving this a big thumbs up.

The quality of this item is surprisingly good. It’s a simple design, but it works well. The magnetic base is very strong and holds securely without slipping, even with a relatively large phone like the iPhone 16 Pro Max. However, when tightening the ball joint to secure its position, you never feel as though you’ve reached the point where it’s completely locked. You always seem able to move its position, albeit with some effort. Nonetheless, I would have liked it to lock solidly in place without having to crank the locking adjustment so hard.The jaws open as wide as all the others I’ve tried, so inserting your phone is not a problem. I also noticed that the spring in this one is not as strong, which is a good thing. This means inserting and removing the phone is relatively easier compared to most of the others I’ve tried.All in all, it’s a great little magnetic clamp that performs well. I would recommend it if asked.

This is a great little mount, I can use this in my home gym on the power cage. It snaps on positively as the magnets are strong. I got this one in particular to hold my mp3 style player as it doesn’t have MagSafe capabilities so I couldn’t use a MagSafe mount for it. This works perfectly and holds it securely. It’s a neat little bracket and would fit into any bag if you wanted to take it to the gym or on holiday with you.

If you like to record your form during a set or even like to take a selfie at home, this a handy mount that sticks very well with its magnetic design. It has no issues supporting my iPhone 15 Pro Max and offers a good viewing angle with rotation options.The alloy build makes it feel very durable, so much so that I have no worries just throwing it in my bag and leaving it loose. Considering the overall product I believe the RRP is very fair and so overall I’m very happy to highly recommend it.

PROS-great little accessory for the gym (I run some rep-counting apps, as well as technique videos, so it’s good to have my phone locked onto the metal of the rack, rather than be propped up on my gym bag)-very strong magnet-uses a clamp, instead of magsafe-will comfortably hold most medium-sized to small phones in normal casesCONS-arms of clamp are _barely_ deep enough to securely hold my phone in its (quite thick) case. My case has a battery in it, so it’s unusually thick though.-clamp doesn’t go quite wide enough to fit my friends iPhone Pro Max 16 in its case-you have to crank the balljoint down quite hard to prevent a heavier phone from tilting the clamp down with its weight.
