Works great very happy with this highly recommended.
This thing is great!! I have a window ac that has a bad selector switch, meaning that I can’t adjust the temperature.I plugged this thermostat in and it works like a charm. The replacement parts that I would’ve needed would’ve been about $165. So for $30 I found an easy fix highly recommend recommended.!!

As described
This is a great thermostat for a my ac window unit that does not have one built in. Kind of pricy but at least it is working still

Good thermostat
They work right out of the box and are accurate. I have 4 in use on my window air conditioners and they turn them off and on when they are supposed to.

Easy setup.
Easy setup, good battery life, BUT...Temperature spread to wide basically need 2 degrees farenheit to engage.

DO NOT BUY- BADLY DESIGNED
I had this unit set for cooling mode to control my window air conditioner remotely. I was puzzled why it didn't seem to be cooling the room properly. When I looked at the unit that plugs into the wall I saw that it was cycling on and off several times a minute for no reason whatsoever. This was probably harming my air conditioner which was not producing any cool air whatsoever. Do not buy this product. It is poorly designed.

Good, but temperature sensor is on the monitor, not the plug.
Though this works well and easy to setup. The only problem is that I thought the remote sensor would be with the plug, not with the monitor. For that reason, I'm returning it. My use case was to monitor the temperature in the attic from my bedroom, while the plug would be in the attic (to turn on and off a fan). For range testing purposes, it was able to turn on/off when the plug was in the basement and I was in the bedroom - 2 floors away.

Outstanding product. [**EDITED**]
I like this product's features. The controller can control more than one plug, and it has a protection circuit for air conditioners, so it will not restart the compressor too soon after it shuts it down, causing the compressor to lock, drawing huge amperage, and possibly damaging the product or AC unit. The number of degrees at which the temperature drops can be set as well; it can be set by remote or at the plug to run continuously. It is far better than a remote with a built-in thermostat. If all are like the one I have, the remote has to have a reasonably clear shot to transmit, and the distance isn't very far. This can broadcast its control for 300 yards in the open. It worked well with its controller on the second floor and the plug on the first floor and controlled more than one separate unit without affecting the other air conditioners. It also has a backlight that stays on for about ten seconds and can be relit with a button. It can be mounted on a wall, or you may flick a small stand out for tabletop use. It is small enough to be unobtrusive yet large enough to read from about 10 or 15 feet. The plug can also handle 15 amps of current. It does require 2 AAA batteries, which are not included. Many remotes and other devices use these batteries, which is hardly a problem. I buy them by the hundred and always have a couple of extras. I recommend using alkaline or non-rechargeable lithium batteries as they last longer than rechargeable ones. This is edited. I first wrote that digital A/C units would reset when turned off, as they do when unplugged and plugged back in. I assumed that because my digital air conditioners reset when denied power, and this unit works by cutting off the power to the unit it controls, it would also reset. Well, I set my air conditioner to "dry" mode, and when the thermostat ran a few on/off cycles, it was still on "dry." If I unplug it or turn the power button off, it resets, but not when using this product. I do not know exactly how it does it, but it does, Mia Culpa. I extend my apologies to the manufacturer, the seller, the people who read my review and didn't get one, and Amazon.com. It has been working excellently, without any issues at all. That was its only issue before. It is definitely a five-star product (not the four I originally gave it. I give it my highest recommendation without any reservations.
