You will probably always get a 5 star from me for a Criterion
I can get frustrated when reviewers just tell you the plot I want to know am I getting the best copy of a film.If you like film noir with a femme fatale....the only dissapointment is it's Black & White...I'm such a sucker for red hair.Great film, Great transfer.

Through the commentary, it makes every subsequent watch more the richer for it.
As someone who got to know of her through Alzheimer's awareness work, I needed to fill some gaps in my knowledge base. Fittingly, this extened package made that process possible. A worthy addition to the highly acclaimed Criterion Collection.

Are You Decent?
A hustler in Buenos Aries goes to work for a casino owner and gangster after his life is saved in a mugging and meets his wife who turns out to be an old flame. Rita Hayworth is excellent in this film noir making one of the most iconic screen debuts of all time with very good performances from Glenn Ford and George Macready. This is also famous as the film and poster mentioned and seen in the 90's classic The Shawshank Redemption. A gripping film with Gilda stealing the show playing both men against each other.

Remain objective in your critique, students
I remember being shown this movie in Media Studies where it was presented as 'noir', but I was distracted by the final dance scene..
