Works perfectly even when the sun is not extremely strong. If the sun light is strong the height of the springs is very impressive, however, if that is not the case the solar fountain works as well and the springs adjust their height to a lower level. Some birds have visited us. We live in the tropics and we get a lot of rain so birds are not much in the need for water but the fountain looks very nice in our garden, that is the main reason we got the fountain for.

The media could not be loaded. I did not expect much for the price point, but this worked immediately and really moves a lot of water. I have a smaller birdbath so I had to remove the filter and let it work as a bubbler to keep all the water from being thrown out of the smaller area. Really impressive. The little stabilizers it comes with, keep it from floating around in the birdbath so it stays centered. The stabilizers are adjustable so you can set it to the size of your particular birdbath. Easy to set up. Tried all the different filters and they all made really nice patterns very easy to switch them.

my previous review is below. The positioning rods dont stay in. But it has been weeks and it just keeps working. NOTE:some people say it stops working. You need to clean it often! Birds make the water dirty and that clogs the sprinkler cap and the filter. I clean it several times a day because so many birds jump in the birdbath. It take only a minute or two to thoroughly clean the cap and the filter, and then it sprinkles just fine. I stopped using the rods because the birsds throw them out of the bath! It is cute and makes a nice little fountain. I am upgrading from 3 stars to 4.The fountain works pretty well. If it stops, it is usually due to a couple of reasons that are easy to fix and take under a minute do. Either low water level, or filter or sprinkler cap get dirty. Birds really make the water dirty, so need to keep the fountain clean. The birds keep removing the positioning rods and even throw them out !. I have to find them, put them back in, but in no time at all the birds somehow remove them, so I stopped putting them back. Need a bettercway to attach them. Allin all, the fountain is cute and keeps pumping as long as there is sunshine and water level doesn't get too low.

Easy to use!!Works even if there isn’t direct sunlight. Even when cloudy, the water bubbles up (depending on which nozzle you attach) not as strongly as when there is full light but does stop after awhile of cloudiness…

Love that this is solar so no need to charge or plug it in. It automatically turns on and was very easy to assemble. The size is great as well and can be put in any regular size bowl, the appearance is great and the price is just right.

It's a really nice little fountain. It only functions when in direct sunlight, there's no battery to store charge for night or cloudy days. Having multiple nozzles for different water effects is great. The trouble is, unless your water receptacle is really wide, most of them just spray water or and you have to keep refilling it. But if your receptacle is big enough to catch all the water, the fountain won't stay centered because the brackets aren't long enough. Luckily two of the nozzles don't overstay, and those look really nice.

I liked that it was easy to set up and it started humming as soon as it saw the sun. Fountain spray wasn't too high, maybe only 12 to 14" high, good for our purposes. Unfortunately we placed it in a small pond and the raccoons kept knocking it over at night. We're saving it for a less critter friendly location.
