The original camera for the Android Auto I use in my truck had slowly darkened over time and needed to be replaced. I use a generic Asian android auto system. This camera works flawlessly with the system I already have wired in and I only needed to unplug the old camera at the 4-pin junction and plug in the new one. Done. I was also able to use the mounting bracket from the original camera, so that was just a couple of screws to deal with.

Had to drill a hole in the back of my vehicle (raising hatch), to get it in. Unfortunately I was having trouble because the image was flipped vertically (the orientation it uses out of box makes it difficult to angle down). However, I was able to switch the screws around to allow it to angle 45 degrees horizontal or straight down. All in all, it is a hell of an install, but that's just my vehicle. Image is clear and coming into the CarPlay. The only thing that would make it better would be a longer rear light cord. I can always make one, but after the install, I'm too tired to.

PLEASE do yourself a favor and do not buy this back up camera. It’s super dark, It feels like they tinted the lenses or something. The camera quality itself is absolutely horrific. I went to cut the green wire to get the original reverse image and not the mirrored standard image and that didn’t even work after cutting the wire the image remained mirrored. As I said, absolutely absolute garbage product. Returning immediately.

Camera has a superb 1080p HD video feed! Bought the camera to replace another Epronics camera that did not provide a clear video feed.It met my expectations.Only con I can think of is that maybe it is not as aesthetic of an install as I had expected (camera is bigger and bulkier than expected)

Update: I was refunded originally I believe. But I came on today to say that the wires/cords are extremely fragile. Be careful if installing outside the car. In the Texas heat, my replacement ended up being torn off by being brushed over with a car wash wand. Wasn’t heavy force. I think the heat just made it more elastic.Update: April 13 it stopped working completely even tried using a cable from a previous rear camera to see if it was a power issue. Guess the camera itself died.This camera may not be helpful at night as car headlights completely make it impossible to distinguish where cars are behind you.when there are no cars around it works mostly fine and can see things even when it’s dark with low lightening, but it cannot handle intense light from headlights and even pole lights.It works great during the day though and I needed this because the original camera that came with my device broke.My friend is a mechanic so he had

Compre esta camara con el propósito de poder usarla para estacionar el carro de marcha atrás y cuando miro por el espejo los carros que están en la parte derecha de atrás se ven del lado isquierdo del espejo deve ser un defecto de fabrica ya que e probado con 3 cámaras diferentes o quizás sea el espejo pero bueno no funciona bien ya que así se puede tener un accidente.tengo que decir que luego de tantos intentos con tantas cámaras lan probé en otro espejo y y resulta que el espejo era el que tenía el defecto por eso cambio mi comentario la cámara funciono de lo mejor y con tremenda calidad
