Q: are these made from petroleum products?

I cannot offer a definitive answer regarding the content of the product, I am able to share that they are food safe and I have used thousands and am pleased.

Q: Can this be exposed to freezing or high temperatures? Is it waterproof? Will it discolor with age? Thanks!

It can be exposed to freezing or high temperatures. They are waterproof. They probably will yellow with age.

Q: Could these be put under a bottle cap to stop from leaking?

I think the bottle cap will tear it but I twist them for candy

Q: where are these wrappers manufactured and are they FDA approved for food use?

I don’t know for sure but I think they are made in the USA. Since November we have made 8-10 batches of Carmel’s using this wrapper.
