SK 12-Inch Quick Adjust Groove Joint Pliers, Water Pump Pliers, Premium CR-V Construction, SureGrip V-Jaw Design with Comfortable Grips

This has quickly become one of my favorite pliers and one that I go to all the time. Comfortable handles, solidly made construction, and easy adjustment. It just feel solid in your hand. Does the job well. Could not be happier.

I don't know where my husband found the old pair of channel lock pliers we've been struggling with but I've cursed them since they very first appeared in our lives. I swore I would replace them one day.....today was that day, lol. These arrived this afternoon and when I handed the box this was packaged in to him his eyes lit up, he tore the box open and got a huge smile on his face. He took them out and tested them and came back in still grinning with a big thumbs up and no pliers, lol....I'm guessing they are now residing in the toolbox. Now to find that old pair of pliers and melt them down 😂. He did mutter "I like the jaws on that thing!". I haven't had a chance to try them myself yet but he is a hard man to please and if he came back in smiling empty handed then I believe we have a touchdown, lol. If I myself discover any issues with them I will update here. Initial testing I did with them was real quick to get a feel and check out the locking mechanism, I'm good to go with them and yeah, those jaws are pretty aggressive....a far cry from the old pliers.....YAY!!

Some will think of this tool as a knock-off of the similarly designed Knipex tool. I don't know about that - but I do know these cost significantly less and while I can't afford the Knipex this pair of SK pliers has really impressed me. They are very solidly built and the black oxide finish should prevent any rusting. The grips are very comfortable as well. I have a similarly sized pair of adjustable groove pliers (think Channel Lock brand) but the design of these pliers makes them much more useful for plumbing fittings and even oil filter removal. They get a better 'grip' and often allow for move room of movement. AAA+++ The only 'downside' I see is that the button to adjust the grip is made of plastic so some might criticize that choice. I think that at the price point of these every DIY'er should grab a pair for their toolkit. SK brand offers a 'lifetime' warranty...not sure how well that is honored as I have never had a claim but internet searches have revealed they are still in busimess and standing by their products.

This set of pliers is made sturdy with good metal, the quick adjustment of it is a nice feature that i did not even know was available. adjustment is quick and easy making this a have to have tool for your every day needs.

Every inch of these pliers shows how well-made they are - this is not a surprise since tool people know SK is a fine brand. The finish alone says this is a tool you will own for many years. They're big and hefty, have comfortable grips and more than any other plier teeth I've handled, the teeth on the adjustable jaws hold on tight without slipping. An SK tool is often better than its equivalent version in the revered traveling private truck brand. Good tools just make life easier, and that's what these pliers do.

The overall build quality of this groove joint plier is well made. The materials of the grip is decent and it is comfortable to hold in hand. Doesn't feel hurt when applying lots of pressure. The jaw is adjustable in 10+ positions, and the position is adjustable only if you press the release button. Overall, a well made plier with flexible jaw.

These are pretty heavy weight and they function as they should. The grip is stable and it works great.
