These are sweet. I bought these to take hiking to have something more comfortable to wear around camp and to wade across creeks, streams, small rivers, etcetera.I discovered they are great to just hike in as well. A pair of Salewa boots I bought had a defect in the left heel which caused extreme pain in my heel when hiking uphill. I couldn't stand it anymore so I threw on these sandals. I was pleasantly surprised when I found that these were more comfortable than my boots. Perhaps it seemed more comfortable due to the relief in pain from using these but in any case they were excellent to hike in.I hiked with these on a section of trail that was pretty rocky. I could feel the rocks through these and some rocks that were more pointy than others caused a small amount of discomfort. Easily solved by watching where I stepped.

Just received these, they came 1 day early. Bought them for my husband for Christmas, but I had to have him try them on to make sure they fit. He is normally an 11.5 and I purchased a size 12 because the other reviews said they ran a little small. They fit him perfectly...HE LOVES THEM. They are the classiest looking men's sandal (for a casual dress look) and they will be perfect for outdoor weddings, nights out at the beach or going to gallery receptions, etc. They are very well made. I was apprehensive because I thought they could look really cheap because they are not real leather, but they look so good. They are not real leather for the purpose of wearing them in the water if you choose to, but to me they are too nice a sandal to wear in the water. We are both very well pleased with these sandals...and I am going to buy my self a few pairs in different colors.
