The influence of Syd Mead on film design and on the visions of SF artists around the world can't be understated. Rooted in a real-world/ lived-in feel his vehicles and buildings have made so many movies seem both possible and plausible. This collection is a beautiful overview of his work over the years and, if I'm honest, the book could've been twice the number of pages and I would still have wanted more.Absolutely essential for futurists everywhere.

Really interesting collection of a lot of preproduction art I had never seen before. Some of the pictures would have been slightly better at a reduced and border size, but that's just quibbling really. I am very excited to see how much of his work features in the new "Bladerunner 2049" ,as we only get a few but very welcome examples in this volume. Also got this at a great price!!!!

I've always been a fan of Syd Meads amazing work.In my opinion, i would have liked to have seen more work from less films.Some of the work is from films that were never made.The work for Star Trek the motion picture took up a lot of valuable space but was very samey of the Vejor concept.Overall, this is a very good book but lacks a deep focus on some key cinematic motion pictures.
