First elegant cruiser electric bike
There’s an old-school charm about Heybike Cityscape electric bicycle. It arrives 80% assembled for maximum convenience. The minimalist frame and retro-looking handlebars certainly give this bike a timeless look. Very nice aesthetic with internally routed cables and clean wire wraps.Equipped with pre-installed fenders and a rear bike rack, this 350w bike is capable of reaching a 19mph top speed. It’s no powerhouse, but it’s a smooth, comfortable ride fitted with 26” tires that are suitable for daily commuting. The range, however, isn’t great – it’s only around 20~40 miles with 36V 10Ah battery, but for a retail price of just $799, you get plenty of bang for your buck. There are also three different pedal assist settings and a 7-speed Shimano shifter. LCD display is large and easy to read, there are lots of options in the display panel including TRIP,ODO, Battery Capacity, etc informationProsFor me, comfort is a big deal and I like the upright body position of a more relaxed ebike. The Cityscape delivers on both points because the front suspension fork with lockout and preload adjust provide cushion, the long swept back handlebars keep you upright, the adjustable angle stem improves fit for many different sizes of riders, padded grips, and the oversized comfort saddle with suspension offers a lot of support. Riding is very comfy and easy going, it is great for causing at the beach, a neighborhood, or just leisurely ridingThe pedal assist sensor is sealed, making it durable agains dust and water, and positioned behind the chainring for protection. It performed well, starting quickly as I pedaled and cutting out almost immediately. The trigger throttle behaved as expected.Heybike really nails it with the integrated lights because they run off of the main battery, have quick disconnect points for easy replacement if damaged, and the rear light has a blinking mode as well as a bright braking mode! They’re far ahead of other similar priced products… even some higher priced ebikes!ConsIn order to power the bike on, you need to first swith the battery lock to the ON position and then hold the M button on the display, this two-step process adds time and can require some flexibility or dismounting if you forget the first step. This is large and heavy bikes, Heybike may had to reinforce the frame for strength (to reduce any flexing) and to guarantee the maximum 265 weight rating the front rack. but that puts the bike at ~59lbs without front rack or etc. The Cityscape has 75" Length 32" Minimum Saddle Height, 37" Maximum Saddle Height and 19" Stand Over Height, Recommended Rider height 5'4"-6'5" In all, Heybike is doing a great job making a decent step-thru cruiser electric bike. It’s beautiful but not overpriced, the components are all upgraded, and safety and strength have really been taken into consideration. Cityscape appeals to the needs of its target market very well. Its large size may be a hangup for some, but it remains an impressive e-bike with a lot going for it. Retailing at the respectable price of $799, it makes for a great introduction to the world of electric bicycling.

Best Affordable Electric Bikes
Looking for an ebike that’s well-suited to neighborhood, urban, and city use? Here’s my pick for city electric bike- Heybike Cityscape. A comfort, style and fun, economy electric bicycle with feature-complete.Feature Completed – 350W Decent motor, 36V 10AH quick removable battery, Shimano 7-speed shifting, 26" puncture resistant tires, front suspension fork, suspension seat post and rear rack.Comfort - This bike is designed for comfort, offering step-thru frames and forward pedal positions designed for full leg extension to reduce strain on your knees, hips, and ankles. Large soft seats with suspension, swept-back, relaxed handlebars, and longer frames engineered to keep your body properly aligned to prevent stress and soreness in your back, shoulders, and wrists. Upright riding with a wide view of the road and surroundings makes cruising a joy.Style and Fun – The electric cruiser bikes have a distinct vintage style. Curvy swooping frames vs. hard angles, extra long handlebar and nice seat. It’s designed to be easy to operate with Shimano shifting mechanisms, button throttles, and multifunctional displays.Economy - You’ll notice that I don’t go too cheap with purchasing ebike, because I’ve found that the very cheapest products do not use reliable or replaceable parts, and they usually lack warranty and customer support. Heybike Cityscape have more dependable motors, batteries, and drivetrains. While it comes mostly pre-assembled, you still need to assemble the front wheel, stem, pedals and seat. It took me about 10 minutes to assemble it, but for people who are new to bikes, a assembly video on YouTube might be a good option. The bike is extremely elegant, approachable, and capable. The hub motor is capable, and the battery pack is actually above average in terms of capacity. Battery placement is excellent, low and center on the frame. With a large plus saddle, long swept-back cruiser bars, adjustable stem, and vibration dampening steel fork, this is a comfortable ride. I like that they include a chain guard, solid kickstand, have rear rack to add cargo hauling capacity.Mechanically, the bike uses a Shimano 7-speed. The gearing uses a 14-28 tooth system in the back. Stopping the bike is a set of 160mm rotor mechanical disc brakes. It works really well with the 26" diameter wheel and is easy to adjust and maintain.Powering the bike is an 36v 10ah lithium ion battery pack. Really a big win! This is what I would consider a high-capacity battery and compliments the system well… when you are taking many cargo around and need to engage that electric motor to the max, a battery like this is just what you want. Although I don’t do range tests now, I would imagine it should easily be able to reach your travel range. It is secured via lock and key and mounts behind the seat post on the bike. This keeps the weight very centered and is appreciated for stability. There is an LED charge level indicator here on the battery too and charging is done through this 2amp charger. It takes a long time to charge, but the good thing is that you can easily remove the battery and charge it anywhere If you’re looking for the most affordable, but still great, cruiser style electric bike. I highly recommend the Heybike Cityscape.

Little things that takes the pleasure out of a smooth ride (later fixed)
Updating the review to from a 2 to 4:My initial gripes with this bike:1. The reflectors in the front wheel came broken.2. The bike stand has a bottom black plastic part that is broken and can't be fixed.3. While ridding the battery has room to play and keeps shaking and constantly rattles4. The bike assembly instructions that come with the product is too hard to follow. You are better off searching in youtube and finding a video that walks through assembling.Other than the above gripes the bike is great. Rides smooth and bike is sturdy.Update:I reached out to customer service and they flat out impressed me with their care. They immediately fed-ex'd me a new stand and reflector and also sent me a video to fix certain lose parts in the bike that cause the noise. After following through their instructions - enjoying a noise free ride with a proper side stand and reflectors. It is an easy 5 star, if not for the hikups I had.
