The first time I used this to hold my tablet I left the cover on my tablet, this proved too heavy. Removing fire tablet cover the jaws held the tablet securely and it remained stuck to the dashboard firmly. I bought this so I can use Google maps in my X3 which I prefer to the BMW satnav. Using my phone as a hot spot gives my tablets internet and so far it has remained in place. Being able to turn it between portrait and landscape is also a useful feature. Time will tell.

Great for the large iPad Pro for the car. Very stable .

Considering that this is one of the more expensive holders on the market, I expected more.My first gripe is that for something thet is trying to hold an iPad at such an angle, it needs stronger suction. It fell off my dashboard at least twice whilst driving and at one point that led to the touch type surface being broken.Second gripe is the ergonomics. When in use the iPad takes up so much of you grill space that it covers areas that you might need whilst driving (for me this was hazard lights and one or two other buttons). Ideally, the stand would allow you to swivel the iPad towards you to get to the back of it but that wasn’t a trivial exercise. Given the two drops that had already occurred I didnt want to disturb it further.For all its faults when it does stick it does work, but it seems vulnerable to uneven surfaces and turns.. I would take it back but my first use was so long after purchase (I forgot it at home for the intended trip) that I am outside the return window now. Last thing I would say is that all dashboards are different. Ours slants down a little so this may have been a contributing factor.

Updating the stereo I'm my crv isn't possible without losing so much in built functionality and would cost a fortune. This little gem hangs my old spare galaxy s tab right over the front of the screen and give a massive screen with nav, tidal even full Web browsing if required. Tethered up to my mobile for data is far better than any in built system. The only downside is I can't see my reversing camera but the car has parking sensors too so no great loss. Sturdy. Brilliant.

Over time the suction cup will lose stickiness even after you have cleaned with water mine lasted 2 months. Any heat will also make the holder come loose from the dashboard. Look elsewhere for a sturdy reliable dash mount solution.

Was highly sceptical if the suction cup would do the trick but I'm not disappointed at all. Holds an ipad easily but can be a bit wobbly if pad not resting against dashboard. Overall good product allowing GPS to be used in a convenient place without obscuring driving view.

I'm very happy with this purchase. It's fitted securely above the radio to the dash board. It's useful for mobile phones too and adjusts in size.

Would not stay in place. Bad design.
