Says 800 thred count but feels more like 500/600. I washed them as soon as I got them they were "dusty". Didn't soften up that much. The sheet itself the threads on the seem at the top of the sheet were coming out already after I washed them. I don't think they are 800 at all. After a week of using them they have slightly softened. For the price what did I expect I guess. Not horrible but not wow I can't wait to go to bed in my so so sheets that are still not super soft 🤷‍♀️

I bought a Queen set, 800 TC in white. Right out of the package the felt pretty soft. However, there was a bitter smell to them so I washed them right away. Out of the dryer, they were wrinkled so I washed and dried them again. The second time there were less wrinkles. I assume they will relax more with each wash. Also, I could tell that they got softer with each wash and drying. I am hoping that continues as well. They have a substantial feel to them. Not overly heavy, but like really good quality. I am not a TC snob, I just like soft cotton sheets that are not sateen weave. These fit the bill. I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend them.

I disliked that I needed to wash them in baking soda and rinse them in vinegar.
