Aunt Jemima Pancake & Waffle Mix, Buttermilk Complete, 50 Serving Box (Packaging May Vary)

I'm usually not big on pancake mixes, I prefer to make my own if possible. My son had tried pancakes made with this pancake mix when he spent the night at a friend's house and he begged me to buy it when we were at the store, I was amazed at the results...the pancakes turned out light and fluffy and were really very good. It couldn't be much easier, you just measure out the pancake mix, add water, and stir. I did use a handheld immersion blender to mix the batter, so that made it extra smooth, but I imagine using a good whisk would work just as well. The box I bought at the grocery store got used up quickly, so I bought this larger box from PrimePantry and am very happy with my purchase. The huge box from PrimePantry cost about the same as a much smaller box cost me at the grocery store, so it was a great value!

No muss. No fuss. Quick and easy pancakes. Love these. Pancakes from scratch are dead easy, but these Aunt Jemima's are even easier and all you need is water...great for those end of the month meals when you might need the eggs for something else and somebody drank the last of the milk. Way better flavor than the all purpose baking mix pancakes. I plug in the griddle to preheat then mix my batter in the large cup of my magic bullet (I've marked the water line, fill to the top with mix, woodj-woodj, two or three pulses and it's ready to go) I get twelve nice pancakes in no time. Sometimes, if I'm out of butter I'll fry the cakes in shallow oil in a preheated skillet, the edges get crispy so you end up with a pancake/funnel cake hybrid. Great served with labne (or greek yogurt) and strawberry jam. Will buy again.

The product itself is good of course I just which for this larger size box they had a cut out that can be easily closed after use. In this case if you open the whole top you are stuck trying to find a way to close it back up or you are stuck having to put it in a container for storage. Back in the day I remember they would have something like this but in todays world its all about saving, even if something as convenient as this would be thanked by millions. Anyway pancakes are yummy good as usual, as long as the recipe stays the same this will always be a 5 star product for me.

Funny story. I got this in my Pantry order thinking it was the basic size mix for the price, which was more than reasonable. My son was like momma this box is so heavy! What did you order? It was a 5 pounds of mix! We laughed so hard and I was embarrassed at the same time :) my son says ummm momma do you need an intervention? Ha! Well one can't go wrong with this instant pancake mix. Good thing we like it! It's so easy to prepare and they are fluffy and filling. Just get enough syrup for a 5 pounder ;)Pancakes for days....months...and beyond. Good price good buy.

The name should never of been changed. In my personal opinion. Back in the olde days word of mouth was your commercials. She was the bomb. Think about it and we insult her memory by removing the name of the brand

I eat pancakes every two weeks on the weekends. This is my preferred mix versus Bisquick and Hungry Jack. That said, I not fond of them following the instructions on the box. If you follow those, the pancakes tend to be a bit tasteless. That's fine if being drowned in syrup, but like a bit more flavor. To this end, I generally add other ingredients including butter, cinnamon, eggs, or powdered milk/cream. With that, the flavor is quite good.

Will be making pancakes for an ARMY - LOL- I sooo forgot that 60 oz is 5 pounds and what 5 pounds of pancake mix would be- LOL, but you know - as my friends reminded me - you can fill pancakes with all sorts of fillings, they don;t have to be all breakfast foods-particularly if you make it thinner and into a sort of crepe. I am off to try new recipes! Price was good, box in great shape, not stale-dated. I store my boxed mixes in double bagged ziplock-type bags for continued freshness on the shelf so this will last me awhile.

My mom used this brand when we were kids and I use it now. It's great for making a quick pancake or waffle breakfast and so easy to doctor it to make something extra special. I like the fact that it doesn't come with a plastic bag inside, especially when it is so important to be conscientious about the amount of plastic we use. The box is always sealed tight upon purchase and it is easy to transfer the mix into a storage container.
