The Honeycomb came without a protective plate for underneath. How can you rate it when you can’t use it. Some may already have something to put underneath but I do not. That is what I get for assumption on my part.

A honeycomb bed is not required for a laser but it makes it so much better to use. Being able to elevate the material and provide airflow underneath for cutting improves the quality of the cut and reduces the staining from smoke and vapors created by the lasering process.The Neje Max series of lasers have a unique footprint size that this honeycomb bed fits perfectly to cover the entire working area. It's made from a steel weave that is durable and magnetic to provide the option of using magnets for material holding. They include a few magnets that will work well but picking up some rare earth magnets will really maximize the holding power. They also include a full size aluminum sheet to act as a protecting layer underneath the honeycomb panel so that the laser beam will not burn the surface underneath.The frame is also steel and held together by rivets. There is a little flex in the frame but no more than your typical Honeycomb bed. So just be sure to provide support around the frame if you elevate it off your working area to ensure it stays flat and square.The panel was well packaged being double wrapped in bubble wrap, with some 1/4" foam taped to the middle of the panels, then they added thicker foam corners to center the honeycomb panel in the shipping box. It arrived with no damage to the panel at all.I'm very happy with this Honeycomb panel and with proper cleaning I expect it to last for a long time.

Great addition to my 2s Max. It combines well with air assist. Now I can add a couple extra through cut passes to make sure my parts come out clean. A little more expensive than I would have liked, but it does work great.

Update: Seller contacted me after seeing this review and has gone above and beyond to make it right. Alsonpromised to work with their engineers to correct the issue (select a different metal backing plate material). I am modifying the 2 star review to 3, as the review is for the product itself not the seller (Seller deserves 5+ stars). But also so those who are concerned can see the seller will more than make it right if quality continues to be an issueOriginal Review: So I have been using this honeycomb lightly for about 1 months. I definitely noticed right away that it made a lot more pops than my previous honeycomb.Well later I noticed it isn't lying flat anymore and took a look and it the sheet metal backing piece is severely warped. I am not even doing that heavy of stuff and am using a diode laser. Clearly this sheet of metal is way too thin for a laser protection. Totally useless.now I have to find me a different piece of backing metal to make this thing useful.Save yourself the effort and buy a different brand.
