The media could not be loaded.  The growing season in Boston is short, which makes it difficult to grow broccoli and cauliflower because freezing temperatures in the spring can cause a delay in planting, and then before you know it temps spike to >90°F causing the plants to bolt. Additionally, as fall approaches, high temps can extend into August, again causing a delay in planting, and then temperatures can dive <32°F in October before the plants have sufficient time to mature. So I bought heated roof cables (to prevent ice-dams from forming) and wove it between the plants and secured it to the soil with garden staples. But rather leaving the heated cables on 24 hours a day and spending electricity unnecessarily (when temps are >40°F for much of the day, as well as many evenings) , I bought this temperature controlled outlet, which allows me to set the on/off operating temps. Now the cables only start heating @ <40°F, and they turn off @ >42°F. The device is well engineered, and the backlight (which can be set to stay on all the time) together with the green/red (on/off) LEDs, allow me to see from a distance (at night, when temps dip below freezing) that the device is both on and operating as expected. It's December 25th, and our broccoli and cauliflower are still growing and maturing (as seen in the video).

I first used this product to control my overnight heater in my basement veggie grow tent. It was 100% reliable. I am now using it control my cooling ventilation fan in my propagation cabinet. The 'always on' display shows current temperature and the low/high or high/low trip points. You don't have to scroll thru menus to set what is going on, nice design.

This was far easier to setup and use than I had anticipated. The temperature sensor seems to be faily accurate to within a degree or so. Also looks/feels well engineered to last.

Brought 2 to put in my greenhouse. Either one work . I get a red light but no green one .I have e mailed company but as of today have not heard from them . Will be returning.

Impossible to set Temps. Instructions are terrible.
