It does take awhile for them to activate but worth the wait I've used them in a cold warehouse, outside they help a great deal with the cold and takes the pain away for easy movement in cold hands, open to activate, advertised for 18 hours that is a long time for use,so far i haven't needed any that long. Highly recommend.

Knowing they’re there warms my heart.

Using for feral and 16 yr old Shih Tzu. They take a little longer than name brand to heat up but work awesome. Not sure if they last 18 hours but definitely more than 12. Just haven't been able to test the 18-hour yet. My senior dog loves them under her cover and the feral absolutely enjoys them outside when it's cold. The price is so good for the amount you get I bought three boxes. If our lives stay straight with all the craziness going on in the world I'll be buying another box in a couple of weeks. 😁

I generally try to not completely fail a product, but this was an utter waste of money. I got the big package of hand warmers for my husband, who works in cold conditions and has a health condition that is worsened by cold.The problem is that these hand warmers … AREN’T. I’ve opened each package of ten or so to see if it was just an issue with a particular run. It wasn’t. They literally don’t get hot — or even warm. At best, they are tepid and that doesn’t last for more than half an hour or so. I even microwaved one in desperation, and in ten seconds it did get hot but cooled within minutes.I am really disappointed.

These take some time to warm up then get hot about 2hours in stays hot about 17 hours. Before the last hours is then turning warm to cold. They do work very good price too. Yes worth it to buy.

Bought these for a camping trip in the middle of January. Temperatures got down into the mid 40s and these helped to keep our hands warm. They seem to work well and last for a very long time. They fit perfectly into our jacket pockets where we were able to warm up our hands when needed. Very reasonable price for the quantity received. Highly recommend.

Bought these to help my scouts keep their hands warm during scout snow campout. They all said that they lasted an incredible amount of time. They were very useful throughout the Klondike derby and our scouts did great in all their events with nice warm hands.

I got these during a prime sale in Sept while they were 1/2 off. And, I am soooo happy that I did. These things are huge. When they say that they last for 18 hours that is exactly what they do. And, they can get extremely hot, be careful about who you allow to have them and where they will be used. An overlay would be good for the very yound and the very old for sure. The trick is to always keep them covered whether in your pocket, a sock, under the covers, etc. because if they are exposed to too much air they will cool off. If they do cool off w/I 12 hrs of opening, just shake them vigorously and place them back in your pocket and they should reheat. They are good for camping, hiking, sitting out by the fire on a cool night, off grid life, and to give away to the homeless in cold weather. I will be purchasing many more of these.
