Super book, highly recommend.
In 35 years of reading interior design books, this is the first I have consumed avidly/in its entirity from beginning to end (and within 2 hours of receiving it!). Would love to know/see more about a few of the projects (because I loved the aesthetic so much) but I understand that these are after all people's homes... A lovely book, both in terms of content and construction - great photography (and I am a professional!), with wonderful design consistency and colour reproduction. Very happy with my purchase.

Dull
Sorry I bought it. The front cover is the most exciting. otherwise very pedestrian.

not modern
this book has beautiful photos - everything is high quality.. but modern? No!! it would have been great if the editors had focused on some descriptions- not a word. Page after page of redone houses perfect sofas, perfect tables crowded with way too much beautiful glass and porcelain. Oh wait there is a turquoise resin? table top on the cover - that is modern. I am aware of a House & Garden spread done on a country house owned by a Norwegian family - it is superb! this book should have concentrated oe spaces done in a similar way, not over crowded and suffocating!

Not what I expected
Let me begin by stating that this is a very nice book with beautiful photography. I am normally a big fan of English interiors. The majority of the interiors featured in this book were far too contemporary and neutral for my taste. They felt cold and unlived in. Unfortunately, this book has been designated for a donation to my local library.
