Installed easily and looks great
The lamps, while T8, were an easy replacement for my T12 flourescent lamps, no issues at all (we are leaving the ballasts in place for now) Much brighter than the 35 watt lamps they replaced. Also love having a switch to set the color temperature. So now, the only question is how long they will last. I've had a lot of LED lamps give out after absurdly short times, and it's always the electronics inside the lamp, but not the LED emitter itself. Fingers crossed.

No brainer - recommended upgrade
Two of my fluorescent u-bend tubes were failing. The other 2 wouldn't be far behind based on past experience. Going to LED was a no-brainer for savings, but I just wasn't sure about the installation and quality of light. No instructions came with the tubes, but plenty of internet info on this. I was a bit concerned since they were a T8 size and my old ones were T12, but it was not an issue.Install was easy (for my fixture): I pulled the circuit breaker and verified power off and took out the old tubes. I then disconnected the 2 yellow, 2 red, and 2 blue wires that connected to each ballast (and removed the ballast). The red and blues were then wire-nut connected to the black (hot lead) and the yellows went to the white (neutral). The new leds went in with the tube label facing towards the ceiling. It took about 10 minutes per fixture. BTW be careful handling the old glass tubes. It is an absolute mess and hazmat if they break. Results: Very pleased. Nice and bright, but not as warm-toned as I expected for a 3000K bulb. Energy savings aside, I'm glad not to have deal with failed ballasts and fluorescents anymore. So far, very happy with the purchase.

Excellent product but be prepared if you have the direct wire!
These things are a great drop in for a very old laundry room fixture in our house. Make sure you have a multimeter handy if you need to “bypass” the ballast. What does that mean? Black to the L pin on each tube and white to N1 as well. Use the existing wiring but cut the ballast out of the equation. Easy enough to do if you have an ohm meter and can trace the wires. So happy to not be spending 35.00 on another fluorescent bulb every year! Plus you can chance the light temp to fit your preference.

Excellent Replacement for Standard Fluorescent Lamps
Read some reviews on installation. The bottom line is, the best installation method is removing the existing ballsst and directly connected them to 120V source. The lamps indicate that you can install them directly with existing ballast or direct connection to 120V source. Based on what I know about replacement LED lamps, Installing them direct to 120V source is the best and safest method. Works all the time.

Retrofit of Existing Florescent Bulbs was Easy
The Good: Shipping was very fast. Easy to install. Choice of 3 Color selections (3000k, 4000k, 5000K. The 4000K color matches our existing kitchen recessed ceiling lights but the brightness (2150 lumens) could have been brighter. The Not-So-Good: A bit expensive for 2 U-Bend LED bulbs. A new LED fixture would have been less money and time, but I wanted to keep my existing kitchen ceiling light fixture, so I had to remove the ballast, purchase new non-shunted tombstone sockets (had to order these from Total Lighting Supply), and perform single-ended wiring install. The entire retrofit took less than half an hour. Would have been nice if Luxrite/Amazon would have had an option to purchase the bulbs with or without non-shunted tombstone sockets.Overall, I am ok with the result.

Mixed bag - decent bulb, no instructions on install.
Good bulb, no instruction, terrible on-line documentation and customer support from manufacturer and one bulb out of four was broken.Perhaps it might have been better if I needed to reach out to seller, but went to manufacturer when install did not work. No information on how to install with or without ballast. Supposed to work with ballast, it did not.PDF on line was poor and e-mail exchange with manufacturer customer care was rough at best. I did eventually make it work by removing ballast and getting information on what to connect to Load and Neutral for direct AC, but it should've been a lot easier. It is actually a very easy install once you know where to put the L and N. I did not want to burn anything out without any clear specs. To boot one of four bulbs purchases did not work. DOA.I won't balme the seller here. I think the issue is with manufacturer. But leaves a poor taste. I will purchase future bulb replacement from a different manufacturer. No more Luxrite for me.

No wiring directions supplied.
Was a little surprised when I received the 8 bulbs. They were made to fit in a box that had NO packing inside. They were just tightly stuffed into a flimsy cardboard box. I then observed the packaging of each bulb in which many of the individual boxes were torn, almost as if they were possibly returned bulbs. I was a little hesitant to except the bulbs at this point.I then opened the boxes in which there are NO directions supplied so as to tell you how to wire the bulbs upon removing the ballast.I have some basic knowledge of electricity and was able to remove the ballast and then hardwire the bulbs. In my case I had two yellow wires and then two blue and two red wires that went to my old ballast. I cut all 6 wires that went to the ballast. I then put the two Yellow wires to the white wire and used a wire nut to twist all three wires together. I then put the two red wires, two blue wires and the black wire together and twisted all five wires together with a wire nut.The bulbs worked just fine. Very bright! It does take 1/2 a second for the lights to come on upon turning them on.Very disappointed there are no wiring directions. There are various types of wiring for various ballasts leaving a person stuck on knowing how to hardwire the led bulbs.Overall, lights work great and are brighter than my old bulbs.

Easy to install after bypassing ballast, bright, can't speak to longevity yet...
Bypassed ballast, works very well.
