AG is King!
I am not a coffee drinker at all, however, I'd thought I would treat my husband. He is orginally from Puerto Rico and I'd thought, let's see what is the best coffee from PR. Alto Grande had a 5 star rating so I'd read many reviews! A lot of people said this is the best, it reminds them of home, and it's excellent! Ok, I'd ordered a can for the man! LOL! It must really be good, on the can it even says, coffee for Kings and Popes. The coffee lives up to its reputation! The husband loves it! I will buy it from time to time, can't buy it too often, it's a little pricey, but why not live a little.

Makes me so happy!
The best coffee in the world and I don’t say this lightly. The aroma is incredible but wait until you try it, that first sip takes you to a special place. There’s no bitterness in these beans just pure strong, creamy flavor.

Bitter, like old school coffee in the can I remember from the 80s
Came highly recommended by a Puerto Rican friend. I really wanted to like it; however, it tasted marginally better than what I remember Folgers, Yuban, or Maxwell House to have tasted like when I last had one of those brands back in the 80s. The quality is probably better, but I think it is a matter of me not liking this style of coffee — it’s just too bitter. I prefer a dark roast Arabic like SBC No. 5 by far. I have no idea what “sheerness” means as pertains to coffee, so am leaving that rating blank if possible.

Worth the money!
Tried Puerto Rican coffee while visiting there a few years ago. It was phenomenal, even at Burger King. I never forgot that coffee and decided to do a little research. I understand there are two Puerto Rican coffee plantations, and this is one of them. I am thoroughly enjoying the coffee, although I can't seem to get it like it was prepared there. Maybe I need to go back and learn more!

The best coffee i've ever had...
We tried this in Puerto Rico and brought some cans home as gifts. People loved it so much that we found it here on Amazon and ordered some as gifts again for Xmas -- and got a can for ourselves. I can't afford at this price to drink it all the time but as a gift you can't go wrong (the can is even pretty) -- or as a treat for yourself. It is ultra smooth and it's nice and rich. I'm so sad that I've run out but great to know I can get it anytime.

You MUST try this coffee!
I had Alto Grande at a restaurant when I visited San Juan and had never tasted coffee like it before. It is like drinking silk. There is absolutely no acidity - only rich delicious coffee flavor. I bought a can to take home to Florida and was worried that it wouldn’t be the same in my coffee maker. No worries- it’s excellent. I was so happy to discover I could buy it on Amazon and have been drinking it ever since!

Addictively delicious!
Tried this coffee on a trip to Puerto Rico and LOVE it! It's a guilty pleasure, and the way I justify it is I'd much rather spend a little more on this than stand in line to pay $8 for a cup of crud at Starbucks. The Alto Grande takes me back to wonderful memories of Puerto Rico...can't wait to go back, and I'll for sure stock up on this coffee there! Glad it's on Amazon!
