We use this all the time. It works great, easy to use and very reasonable pricing. It’s the perfect size and easy to clean.

When our trusty WaffleTone iron broke six months ago, we shopped around for a new one that was reasonably priced and made thick, Belgian-style waffles without all the fuss. We couldn’t find ANYTHING suitable in the stores, and we went to six different houseware retailers! My husband is particular about his waffles, and doesn’t like the thin, crispy American-style waffles. So I picked out this iron on Amazon because it most closely resembled our old broken one. We’ve used it several times and it makes consistently fantastic waffles. Crispy on the outside, steamy and fluffy on the inside. The batter doesn’t stick, even if you forget the non-stick spray – we’ve used both the Coyote whole-wheat mix and the Bisquick gluten-free mix.I only have two negative comments…a) it took an eternity to ship to us, and b) the beeping tone really is as bad as other reviewers have stated. When we first heard it, my husband and I were horrified. It sounds like a dying bird of prey, and there’s no way to turn the volume down. But because the waffles are so good, we’re more than willing to ignore the sound. Just don’t try making waffles while anyone else in the house is still asleep!Also, the waffles are huge in size, and quite thick – I can only eat one, the husband can only manage two. But the nice thing about it is that you can easily split them into quarter sections once they’re baked if you have kids with miniature appetites.

Great waffle maker, takes a long time to make crispy waffles though — about 10 minutes. It also has a very chemically smell to it at first, I let it sit there on max heat for 20 mins to burn some of the yuck smell away. It kind of worked. It’s truly non stick, which is GREAT! I’m happy with it.

This is my 2nd non-stick single waffler maker...what makes this one better than the last: times the cooking for you! This is a huge plus - other waffle makers you have to keep track of the cooking time, or set it on the maker itself...this one just goes by your preference and does the timing for you. It's been on spot every time! The 'buzzer' is crazy-loud, but that's the point - short bursts and loud, but brief. Freaks the dogs out a bit - but I can hear it from laundry room or upstairs - so, it's a plus for me!
