Can anyone verify whether the toxic smoke/fumes from lead solder is actually absorbed within the filter? Are these truly effective for that?

Can this work with paint?

I have been using another filter/fan for soldering and I'm wondering how this one compares; How close does the smoke have to be to get pulled in?

Can anyone tell me if this would help draw smoke away from woodburning projects?
