The Fujifilm XT1 Eye Cup (Model EC-XT L) is a dome-shaped eyecup designed to fit around the viewfinder, effectively shielding light for improved visibility. Its soft material enhances comfort for users shooting with or without glasses, making it an essential accessory for any serious photographer.

Good Quality, more secure, but not necessarily a one size fits all for spectacle wearers.
I bought the X-T1 eyecup to replace the one supplied with my X-T3, that started working loose from the frame which secures it to the EVF housing, and eventually was lost. It appears that this has been a design problem. From what I can deduce the new eye cup is a redesign and far superior to its predecessor, in terms of security and comfort in use.I wear spectacles, and this eye cup is not adequate for reducing glare, under those viewing conditions, so not solving this issue, but it is certainly deeper than the original which is actually a positive for spectacle wearers. I may yet buy an eye cup with an extended side cup, like those used by cinematographers.

Important Accessory for the Fuji X-T1 Camera
Yes, its true that Fuji should have included this eyecup as part of the X-T1 camera. I can't state why that is not the case, as it really (from the Fuji point of view) not very expensive at all to produce. But the impact it makes on the sue of the camera is significant. Although not a perfect solution (some reviewers report that it is not very useful, for example, if you are a vertical shooter, and a few that the item comes off too easily), it is a very good addition to the X-T1 camera that can be used with or without glasses due to its soft construction. It also helps cut down some of the light when you are shooting with the viewfinder outdoors. Am I miffed that I need to purchase this $15 part when it really should have come with the camera? Maybe a little bit, but the price is reasonable and the functionality it adds is significant, not to mention good construction quality (it is an authentic Fuji part that comes packaged in the stylized black Fuji black box). Five stars, and highly recommended for the X-T1 shooter.NOTE: If you think you are even vaguely interested in this, and it shows as "in stock," GRAB IT, because I have seen this part go in and out of stock over the past year.
