OlympiaLuggage Rolling Shopper Tote
C**O
There is a 'droop' problem.
When it's loaded the front of the bag droops and the feet drag along the ground. This is my 2nd Olympus bag of this style. I had the other one for over 5 years and I used often it for work and for shopping. It got old and scruffy, so I decided to replace it. This one cost more than 2 times what I paid for my original, but I know the brand so... It is well made, it looks like a genuine product even better quality than my original bag and at first I was very pleased with it. however with the same things in it (laptop, paperwork and lunch box) the front of the bag bulges out and touches the floor creating a dragging sound as I wheel it along, you have to tip it quite far back to stop the noise and of course, this is damaging the feet. I will try to find a piece of thick cardboard to place in the bottom of the bag to give it some extra support, perhaps that will help.

Great quality and highly useful
I live in the city and exclusively use mass transit. This bag comes in really handy for every shopping trip, whether it is groceries, books or other items. I chose it based on the reviews. At first I was a little leery, thinking it might be clumsy since you can't roll or fold it. But that's not the case.I've had quite a few rolling bags. I have a rolling backpack which is great for travel. I've used it to house clothing, but with my netbook and other stuff, there is little room left. I can see traveling with this bag much more easily because it has more room in it. I'm fairly certain it will go on a plane just fine - but I'd put my netbook in a separate sleeve and have a sling bag handy in case I'd have to check it.What I've learned is that the bags with those wheels that you turn in yourself that are held mainly by a piece of metal do not hold up well at all. In fact, the second I put a large bottle of soda or something similar in them, they collapse on the spot. I suppose those bags are only made for really light weight stuff. That's why I chose this one. These wheels are plastic, but they are sturdy. These wheels are just like those on an insulated bag that I got at Trader Joe's -- that bag has held up for 3 years now, and still going strong. However, this bag will be more useful in that it is wider and more like a real tote bag -- but bigger and nicer. It can function as a tote or luggage as you like. I can see that it would be great as an overnighter and for those who pack very lightly, it could be the only bag they'd need for a weekend trip or more. This is why It's far more versatile than the smallest rolling luggage you can take on the plane. I can see taking it on trips with a backpack that I can strap onto the handle to pull them both along.I know I will use this bag all the time -- you can carry it over your shoulder and then roll it when you need to. I plan to put my purse inside of it as well until the bag is too full. But by the size of it, this will rarely happen! The straps are long enough to be pulled along for an average or shorter person, however, the handle is a great feature.

Cheap and Disappointing.
I have had Olympia totes for almost 8 years. They have been fabulous and have bought 3 - for travel, for shopping and for hauling tools.I decided to buy a new one from Amazon as backup. With the name Olympia and the same general styling, I thought it would have the same features and sturdiness as the ones I own. What a mistake. Here are the things it is missing which all my previous ones have:1) No inside zippered pocket.2) No tightening straps on the sides to help keep the bag closed and things upright.3) No velcro closure at the strap handles to add extra closure to the bag as well as cushioning the hands when carrying the bag.4) No reinforced pads and support near the wheels (helps protect wheels and bag material when going up curbs, steps, etc.5) Bag material, zipper and strap material feel flimsy. The manufacturer and Amazon are careful to show only one side of the bag, and not the inside or else I would have noticed that some of these things were missing. It is a hassle to return the bag in such a large box. I feel I have been misled by the ad, and by the Olympia name. Technically however by its very lack of description, it winds up being as described. So to add insult to injury, I would have to pay for the return shipping! It seems to have in line skate wheels, but judging from what I received, they probably are the cheapest, most short lived version. My advice - AVOID THIS BAG. If I could have given it no stars, I would have.

Excellent !

Light, rolls well, sturdy and collapsible.
Light, practical, sturdcy and well designed. I have two of these. A black one for work.. to carry lunch, water bottles, tennies, umbrella, lunch, snacks, and my purse etc. It really saves my back from having to carry all that stuff in a large shoulder bag. It is very easy to pull. I even used it on a long trip... and had two of my suitcases balanced on this one... it is so well designed that it was easy to pull this bag/tote with my two suitcases attached! I also have one for groceries (the black and white moo cow pattern! soo cute!), and it's great to take to the farmer's market, and is great at hauling all my groceries in from the car when I get home!.. The handle is just the right height for me. (I am 5'8) and is plenty tall for taller folks (I'd say up to 6ft. It rolls well too. I put a small cooler in the bottom of the tote - that fit's perfectly- to keep frozen things, or meat cool until I get home. It handles very heavy groceries too! Good quality for the cost. FYI - you can slide the metal handle down, and carry it with the black canvas handles too! It's light and collapsable so it's easy to fit into a tight space in the car when empty, or to store at home in a closet. Love it. I will always own one of these! Such a great help
