AMAZING
I came across the ASUS Vivobook after my Macbook Air breathed its last breath. As a poor student mid medical degree, buying another macbook was out of the question. So i was looking for something that would be good enough to use through the rest of my studies.First thing to note, this laptop is GORGEOUS. I got the pink/rose gold one and its so pretty. On the front it has some weird alien looking symbols but i'm cool with it, it looks pretty funky. When you open it the keys are all normal sized and the mouse pad has a calculator which you can turn off/on with the press of a touch screen button which will then light up white. Cool.It weighs less than my macbook air, but its also a smaller screen size. I think my macbook was a 13 inch and this is 11 inch. When i first took the asus out of its box i was a bit worried at how dinky it looked but fear not- its actually quite endearing. Its so lightweight to hold on your lap and small enough to fit into stupid small handbags us women like to cart around- so i know i wont have any trouble packing this baby for uni once the coronavirus bores off.start up took about 10 mins personalising content, installing microsoft office and changing the display was easy enough. I charged it this morning and the battery is still going 12 hours later. The camera quality is pretty poo but its not what i need it for anyway so thats fine. The sound qualities fine. I think the mega impressive thing about this though is... it hasnt yet overheated! no whirring angry fan because ive got it on a blanket. Its not gotten warm... 10/10. Dont think ill ever go back to mac after discovering this for less than a quarter of the price!if you're looking for something for general use... online shopping, social media, watching a couple videos and writing papers... the asus vivobook is a MUST! one very very happy customer.

Great little compact laptop
I ordered this laptop to use for my daily computing needs, internet banking, online shopping and the like and I am so far, very pleased with my choice. The laptop is light weight, compact but not to small with a large lettered keyboard making it clear to see. It also has a unique number keypad on the mouse pad which can be turned on and off, the only downside to that keypad is that it does not illuminate and so in some lights the numbers can be quite difficult to see, but a nice function nonetheless.I had read some other reviews elsewhere which said that this laptop was sluggish and slow and that made me question whether this would suit me, however I have not experienced anything of the sort, Start up is quick, the setting up of the laptop itself was swift and everything else runs perfectly smoothly. if you are looking for a good looking compact laptop then this will fit the job. In terms of the 365 personal subscription, when you set up your Microsoft account, it will automatically start the subscription and so there is no need to enter a product key or 'install' office (it took me a while to work this out!)

A brilliant small laptop
I've bought this ready to take on holiday as my usual laptop is large and quite heavy.I'm delighted that I can go between the two laptops seamlessly as all my files are either on the cloud or dropbox. It's exactly what I needed!

Does a good job for the price
I've been using this for a few days now, along with a Dell Latidute 5490, although you can't compare the performance to a Dell, taking into account the Dell is well over £1K brand new and this I had for less than, £150, it does a lot of things the Dell can do at a fraction of the cost. It has an advantage because of it's size but it is limited by only having two USB ports and one HDMI. But for the price it functions well and although the response of the keyboard is a bit plasicky compared to the Dell it's useable and in a couple of years time after the guarantee has run out I can have it recycled and buy another, which should be better and who knows what the price will be by then for an entry level laptop.
