When I first tried adding white highlights to my drawings I started with Gelly roll pens because I remembered them being good when I was a kid. They absolutely did not work though, it was very frustrating. Tried these instead and they are great! They lay down ink very easily and are perfect for adding highlights to pencil drawings.

I bought the white pen for highlights on my art, and the gold and silver for mixed media, as well as for calligraphy. Here's my summary: all three colors show up wonderfully on black paper. The impact on white paper for the silver and gold is pretty nice, but the white of course doesn't show on white, though it will show up on any other color you use. These are gel pens which means the ink comes out very wet, and takes a few moments to dry, so you need to be careful not to rub your hand in it or try to paint over it (unless you are attempting to blend) until it dries. It's great for doing embossing, though. The powders will definitely stick to this ink, and you can get a nice effect with a glitter powder over the gold or silver. I haven't tried it with the white, but on black paper it might be cool. The pens give a fairly thick line, ideal for use on coloring books, highlighting, and such, but sort of thick to do calligraphy. I think a thinner pen is better for calligraphy but that's just me. The price, around 10 dollars, is not bad for what you are getting. I don't know how long these will last, but they are full-sized with full ink wells, so I'll update this if they run out quickly. I doubt they will. I'm glad I bought these pens.

I bought these for my Christmas cards this year. They write beautifully and the cards looked so nice. I'm hoping they have gold ink soon with the medium tip.

Bought black post-it notes because they exist and these pens are perfect for them!

I love these gel pens for doing my artwork, the flow nicely over paint.

The sketch book im using is Strathmore Toned Tan*I also use these for my copic art work and works the sameIncluded sticky notes which i found was a cute, random bonus in this purchasePros :- Extremely smooth and doesnt dry out mid way through a line-brightly colored/visible-good handlecons :not really any which i love *-Cant use it excessively like a marker to color, takes a small while and you must be gentleIve used this brand for 5 years and the quality is always good and consistent.

I originally bought these cause I wanted pens that stood out on the paper (I use the white for art and it works extremely well and so wanted to do similar highlights and stuff with gold and silver), but the silver and gold don’t do it nearly as well, they look really nice in the light but not as much in the dark, because they’re really glittery and reflective—so to anyone who was looking to use them for a similar reason: it’s the best choice I could find, but it might not be exactly what you’re looking for.

I love these for ink over watercolor. Great coverage. I wish the nib was a bit smaller, but no problems and great metallic shine. The white is quite opaque. Excellent choice for me.

A lovely metallic pen but they bleed through the paper and take a while to dry in my bible.

I love these pens, especially the gold one.
