Sony Knack 2 PS4

Collaborative game
This is a great little co-operative game my children (12 and 8) are happy to play with together. It has puzzle solving elements which appealed to my oldest and the ability to be very destructive/ run around and hit things which appealed to my youngest. Knack II combines some lateral thinking puzzles with platform style gaming and fights with enemy robots, there is a lot of running around some nicely inventive worlds. As a two player game it is non-competitive and it also doesn’t rely on both players finishing a tricky jump/climb which can be frustrating, only one needs to complete the section and the other can teleport to them. Players do need to collaborate for some of the puzzles, moving bricks around to climb over obstacles, pressing buttons at the same time or holding down handles to open and close doors. The characters can get bigger by collecting relics as they go around or shrink down to a tiny size. New fighting moves can be earned as the players move around the game, armoured shells can be created and the characters get to drive tanks and robots (together). My children are really enjoying this immersive game and it is definitely cutting down the squabbles over the PS4.

That rare moment when sequel is better
Much like Watch Dogs 2 - the sequel is much better than the original. I can't put 5 stars as this is not exactly a masterpiece and never can be if you're into other game genres to start with, but it's still a good game to play for anyone. I can't remember why I wasn't fond on the 1st one apart from it being quite frustrating to play - enemies were overpowered. In any case this one is so much better. I like the story, the graphics, how smooth it runs and how fast it loads on PS4 Pro. And it's not a short game too - I invested more than 10h in it (getting very close to the end) and still like it. Usually 7-8h is enough for me for non-open World games. At this price I can recommend it to anyone.

Good to see Knack back.
The first Knack was a fun game if a little repetitive. Knack 2 has gone up a level but still a little repetitive at times. It's still a fun game though focusing a little bit more on platforming compared to Knack. Not too much though because If it was I would never have bought it. A decent story line and graphically really nice, especially if you have a Pro. You don't necessarily have to have played the first one to enjoy this sequal. Still fighting Goblins and Robots and still collecting hidden powerups. Overall worth the 25 quid but probably not much more.

Bought for 7 year old
Bought this for my son who is 7 and he loves it, but the coop on it means that his 4 year old sister can play with him without any problems. Very forgiving system means that you don't get stuck with any of the platforming as if your in the same area for too long it indicates what you need to do. Combat is simple but fun and regenerating health means that its not very hard.

game review
it's a great little sequel with plenty of actions and improvements. my daughter and I completed the coop on the first one about 10/11 times. and the coop on this is so much better. and there are great team play features meaning both players have an equal responsibility to survive and complete challenges.
