Quality of item purchased for the amount of money paided.
I liked the quality, Wished there was more to the handle when sticking with Maule. Can't complain over all. Like shopping Amazon. Wished that I had more money.🙊🙉🙈

Not worth the money at 1/2 the price
Very hard to remove from the leather because the tool was not finished properly. Notice the ridges that were not removed from the tines. I bought a good set of punches $$$ at a online leather craft supplier.

these are a fantastic deal. You aren't going to find pricking irons ...
For the price, these are a fantastic deal. You aren't going to find pricking irons this cheap anywhere else, period. That said, the quality is pretty rough. The teeth are straight and regularly spaced, but the interior faces of the teeth are **super** rough. Rough as in, gritty and not even flat, the interior faces have kind of an uneven "wave" or series of small humps on them. Also, they also aren't very sharp. If you use pricking irons a good bit, these will need quite a bit of work to make glide out of the leather smoothly; more than just a polish. I bought these as an easy way to try out this style pricking iron in a moderate SPI (7.5) before committing to an expensive set. I have been very happy with them for that purpose.

Outstanding value in pricking irons right here!
I'm very impressed with the quality of these irons, a solid value without a doubt and getting them in three days was a huge plus. At this price point I don't think it's realistic to ask for any more as they seem to be lacking in two minor areas that would likely drive cost way up; a longer/fatter handle and a good polish job on the tines. That would perfect these, but again, I think they are spot-on for the money and I'll be looking at future purchases if additional sizes become available.

Product dimensions not correct.
I haven't used them yet, but seem to have a mediocre polish on them. I will have to polish them up a bit more to make them glide thru the leather without distortion (normal for these type of tools.) The 3.38mm looks to be correct from start of stitch to start of next stitch. They are a bit on the short side, the dimensions listed in the ad are not even close. Mine are 3.75" long from tip to the striking end. Will they work? yes but seller needs to fix dimensions on ad. 8.2 x 5.5 x 0.4 inches is not correct measurements. Would I still purchase them? Yes, I think so, they look to be good quality steel.

Excellent value, well made.
Have only done brief test on item as they are just in my hands. So far very good. They look superbly machined, very well made, and for the price would be very hard to beat.

Find better ones
Not worth it. Two prong tool bent not even fully though first project. And difficult to remove from the leather.

Angle of tines is very good
I use these as pricking irons for marking stitch layout and then use a diamond awl for penetrating the leather. The angle and size of the mark is perfect for creating the zig zag saddle stitch. I would not use these for fully penetrating layers of leather, but as pricking irons the are great and inexpensive.
