Way too expensive
I cook kidney beans quite often as my family love them. These ones are good quality kidney beans. But they are way overpriced. I can’t justify spending £5 on 500 grams when I know I can buy 2 kilos for the same price from usual super market stores.

Unjustifiably expensive
Although it's far cheaper to purchase dried beans, it is a faff to soak them, rinse them and cook them for a long time. These are however unjustifiably expensive. I can buy the same weight of dried beans from my supermarket for a quarter of the price of these (I could probably buy cooked ones cheaper taking into account the relative weights too), and there is nothing at all superior about these which can possibly warrant the price tag. Also it's inexplicable that there are no preparation instructions supplied; because of the toxicity of the dried beans they need to be soaked, drained, rinsed, and cooked properly.

Why no cooking/preparation instructions on the packaging?
I agree with other reviewers that it seems lax of the seller not to include cooking instructions on the packaging. It wouldn’t really take much effort to include them on the label and since, if not prepared correctly, kidney beans are toxic, it seems a pretty glaring oversight.

Just beans
At least they state a country of origin- which is India. They are fairly starchy tasting and nothing exceptional to write about. Also since kidney beans need boiling hard for 10 minutes to remove toxins, it would be sensible to add this to the label.

Could be better
A lot of colour came off when I soaked it overnight. Also please check it before you soak it because there some bad beans in the pack. The taste is good though. It’s hearty and good for making curries.
