Mucky Nutz Fat Gut Fender

Extended my riding season! Along with the rear Mud Hugger fender, I am kept mostly clean even on a pretty muddy ride!

This is an excellent product. I use it on the down tube of my Sondors electric bike and when riding in rain this fender keeps all water off the battery box inside the frame triangle. Oh and it does the same for me too :-). I also use a small front wheel fender to finish the job for the front wheel, but without a front wheel fender I was amazed to learn that, in the rain, this body fender does probably 90% of the job... just in a different way than you'd think. The water is still flying off the front wheel. This fender is a shield from it.

Looks great and blocks all the slush! Only reason it is getting 4 instead of 5 is the strap around the frame is kinda crappy compared to other guards.

Still on my fatbike, the front and downtube fenders work well, the rear fender fell off my seat(would not recommend the rear).

The quality of the guard is great! Don't let others fool you with saying its just cheap plastic. It is plastic as are all mud guards (even on your car) but its not cheap. It is thick and durable and light (the important part). My complaint is they only give you 1 strap of velcro so you can only fasten half the guard. I had to go buy my own velcro to fully strap it to the downtube. This may not be an issue if you have a small downtube but this is a "Fat" guard made for a fat downtube so it should come with twice the velcro. Doesn't make any sense especially from a quality company like Mucky Nutz.

Keeping me dry and clean riding an electric fat bike. The front stock fender is a bit short and I was getting a good hosing when hitting any puddles. Now this fat gut fender picks up where the stock fender falls short, and I'm dry and happy.

Bought along with a front and rear fender...this one is my favorite!!

Wanted something to stop the water bottles getting caked in mud. This has done the job! Plenty wide, but doesn't obstruct pedalling at all. Excellent bit of kit 👍

After reading other reviews on the guard slipping is easily fixed with 2 side stickers to place on the foam dot to frame. Tested through the worse slush and no splash on battery bag at all! A bot over priced hence the 4 stars.

would be better with rubber straps or more foam backing to apply pressure to it, but it does what it says

Just a big flat bit of plastic that you need to bend into shape, the velcro straps that come with it are rubbish so I would use cable ties instead to attach to the bike frame. Mud and water still seems to splash on me quite a bit so I would look at also getting a fender that attaches to the fork for extra effectiveness.
