Excellent Balanced Audio? At This Price Point? (More Likely than you think)
(Edits are preceeded with a ^) Ohkay, so first thing first, I'm kind of exploring the low end of headphones to find the best sounds. So far on my list: Multiple JBLs, OnePlus Bulletz Bass Edition (2019), KZ EDM, KZ ZSN Pro Xs, Multiple cheapo Samsung ones. This is pretty much the closest I've come to the best sounding out of all of them! Bass is superb! (Not too much, not too little, very punchy, well defined and doesn't overpower). Mids are pretty good, but yeah, still a classic V-shaped sound. Hi ends also really good, but do sound a bit compressed. No sibilance or fatiguing here tho. Could listen to these for hours. Battery life: ^Stellar! One charge easily lasts a day with moderate to heavy use, sometimes more. Charges really quickly too, so yep, battery life is a pro for these headphones. Build quality: You get what you pay for. Nothin' more, nothin' less. Very light and does feel (mostly) durable. UPDATE: as with the other reviewers, the rubber coating came off. I completely removed it from both earphones, and honestly? feels just as sturdy. Magnets now work, actually, which is a surprise. Do I like this happening? NO. Can I live with it? Uh, sure. ^Magnets might as well not be there. Mic quality: Seems to be perfect for calling, need nothing more here. ^Recording quality is okay. Pairing is painless, both windows and android (11). Comfort: 11/10, almost cannot feel them. Painless to the P. Codecs: The usual: SBC, AAC, no AptX, but then I was expecting that. ^The usual switching to handsfree mode when in a call, but that's an issue with bluetooth as a whole. You can work around that by using your device mic. You can hardly tell difference unless, y'know, flacs. Now to the comparisons:KZ ZSN Pro X: Sound cleaner? I like the treble more on the KZs but they are very uncomfortable after a few hours. Also, this is wireless. ^Changed to the larger eartips, the Sony's are now significantly better (to my ears)KZ EDX: Better, in every single way. End of word.OnePlus Bulletz BE: This wipes the floor with OnePlus's extreme bass. I'd say that the bass on the OnePlus is bad enough that sometimes I feel like I'm only listening to bass. Not my cup of tea, but hey, to each their ears.Samsung Buds Plus: Honestly, I don't know. I think I'd take the Samsungs, but then, the price difference is staggering, so yeah, this is still way over VFM. Take this anyday.OnePlus Buds Z: Yeah, those are better experience, this has better sound. Take your pick (except you can't, because they don't sell it anymore. Poor OnePlus. Well, here's to Nothing :p)To conclude: I'd buy them even if a bit more 'spensive, they're that good. Go get emPS: Will update in 2 months.PSS: Updated a bitPSSS: Updated more

Very good earphones if you are willing to put up with a few useability issues
So I recently lost my pair of the XB400. Still looking for them with hope but also looking a new options. You would think these are good enough to buy again without a second thought. Sound quality wise they are. See I had the realme ones before this and other people around me have the one plus pair. For most people these are the three it really comes down to, if you are not the kind to experiment newer names such as Soundcore or see no point in paying more brands like Jabra, Bose et all but also do not want brands that seem ubiquitous now such as boult or boat. Nothing wrong with those but this review isn't for them. Now clearly the Sony pretty much aces the audio quality side of things. Its not even that close, its not that One Plus and the Realme are bad, it's just the Sony are just much better balanced with bass being present but not overpowering, the high notes are clear but don't chime like high pitched bells, the mid range doesn't loose its clarity even thought expectedly it doesn't quite have the same soundstage as a bigger headphone. All of it put together makes the music sounds really good. But....I loved how easy to use the realme ones were. The magnetic on/off is such a great feature that I actually really missed it once I did not have it. Worked flawlessly. The Sony might as well not have magnets, they do nothing to keep the earpieces together forget about auto on/off.The Realme ones also stayed in place much better on Tshirts and round necks, whereas the Sony keeps slipping off. A real concern when travelling esp are airports. Probably how I lost mine. Just slipped off and I never even realized it.The Sony fit better and are way more comfortable and I have no issues having them in my ears or 4 - 5 hours. The Realme were no-where near as comfortable and hurt my ears after 15-20 mins, though that could just be me.These Sony are also around 3k where as the other are generally much being around 1700 to 2k.So is it worth the premium. For the sound quality, absolutely. If you only use these while traveling then putting up with a pair that keeps slipping off and cant be turned off other than by long pressing.... no ease of use magnetics, become real issues. If these are going to be your main music listening devices then I say it is worth putting up the small issues for. If these are your secondary ones meant mostly for travel or exercise gets ones that are easier to use and not so finicky.
