Easy, quick, one time assembly to put the legs on, and it still fits in the storage bag. Fire lights and burns easily and gets plenty of oxygen, so less or no smoke. Before I purchased this little fire pit I read a lot comments, and some were negative, calling it flimsy and at least one complaining that it was just a folding colander. I'm in into Bushcraft and I practise preparedness, so telling me that I could use my fire pit as a colander, simply makes it a multi-use item for me! This is not some clunky heavy fire pit for your patio. This is something to carry in your car, put in your backpack or bug out bag, and is ideal for ultra-like backpackers as it weighs just ounces. Will it's lightweight and thin metal design cause it to not last as long as something made from thicker and heavier material, probably. Is that a reason to not get it? Not for me, I am considering getting some high temperature paint that you use on wood stoves and fire pits and give it one or three coats to extend, hopefully, it's service life. When I lit a fire in it earlier and after it cooled off and I examined it, there is very little discoloration. This is something I was curious about, in case it actually was initially designed to be a colander, but I did not notice any. If I do paint it with high temp paint, I probably won't also use it as a colander, but I don't often need strain spaghetti on backpacking trips 🙄, so I don't really consider that much of a downside. That said, this is perfect for Leave-No-Trace campers and backpackers, to be able to enjoy the warmth, light and comfort of a fire without leaving a fire scar on the ground .

I needed a steamer basket. I don't use it frequently, so I didn't want to spend a lot. This is great for the money. I like that the sides are higher than others I've had. Just one caveat..the center handle is metal so I need to use tongs to lift it out (hot!) which is a little clumsy. I would purchase again.

I only cooked four tamales as a test and they came out great. Flavor and texture were normal. Will update when I make a bigger batch.

I like the size and it folds up and opens easily. The only thing wrong with the steamer I received is it has some sharp edges. The finishing touches seem to be overlooked when this one went down the assembly line.

The metal legs provided with the steamer basket for installation were almost impossible to install! They did not fit properly and somebody extremely dexterous would have to do the installation in order to achieve success at all.

Served my purpose. It was sturdy and endured 4 hours of making canned vegetables. Completed my canning

Very happy with this, easy to use and hasn't fell apart so happy overall. Much easier to clean in the dishwasher than by hand
