Simple, reliable, cheap and effective - all good
Sometimes old tech is the best. We had signs of rodent infestation. Loaded up one of these traps with almond butter, put it in place, checked a day or two later and there was a dead mouse. Humane way to kill them since they die instantly. What I don’t like is (1) have to handle with extreme caution when loaded, or it can snap accidentally, (2) gross to clean up. But I don’t see any way around these limitations without engineering a much more complex and expensive device. Keep it simple!

Best mousetrap
Out of every mouse trap I have used, this one always works. I am 75 years old so I have used a lot of different ones. This is the best.

Good price
If you need mouse traps these Victor traps are a good deal. They are sturdy and easy to set up.Do not buy the traps that have a plastic bait area, they are unsafe and will spring without notice.

Always do the job!
Trusty, always do the job traps. Our local hardware store no longer carry Victor traps, but they are tried and true. Happy they are available on Amazon.

Work well but you need to use a few tricks
I baited 4 traps with peanut butter and the mouse wiped the PB from all 4 traps but the 4th trap got him. So I’m happy it got him but surprised at the lack of sensitivity of these traps. I mean he wiped them clean! But these are nice because they’re so cheap you can just toss them away once you catch a mouse. They’re definitely not big enough for a rat. These are pretty small and lightweight. Perfect for regular mice.UPDATE: I read online how to make these work better and I upped my rating to 4 stars based on it.1.) Use peanut butter on the bottom of the trigger (just a pea size); it makes them really paw at it more and whammo.2.) Mix peanut butter with cotton from a Q-tip and wind it around the teeth of the trigger. I guess the theory is it gets caught in their teeth and they are stuck. When they pull away they aren’t able and it gets them. I know it sounds cruel but these traps are very strong. It looks like a quick clean kill to me.3.) Use needlenose pliers to bend the trigger a little and make it a hair trigger. This really works but its a pain. I mean they snap at the slightest movement, so placing them after doing this can be hard. Sometimes you have to play with it and bend it back a little if it won’t stay set. This one is such a pain it’s almost not worth doing. But if you’re having trouble getting any, try this step.To date I’ve caught 8 mice in about 2 weeks time. I caught 7 within the first 6 days, then went a long stretch with none and just caught another. So just keep baiting traps and putting them out. The PB stays fine and will get any other mice back there. One other lesson learned: the PB attracts ants. So I have ant traps near the mouse traps now. And we saw black widows which I sprayed for as well in that little corner. Its a real war zone down there.

Victor mousetraps are the BEST and this supplier has a great price and fast shipping. We've used other brands of mousetraps which have failed repeatedly. But these traps have worked everyday since we got them. EVERYDAY we have caught a mouse! Buy them and rid your spaces of every last mouse.
