Russell 693380 Brake Hose Kit for Mustang 05

These hoses are superior to rubber line most people have on there cars. They are teflon with stainless braided reinforcement and what appears to be a urethane overcoat. This construction prevents the hose from expanding when braking pressure is applied resulting in a positive firm feeling no lag or brake pedal creep. I would give 5 stars it they would provide copper washers, I purchased them separately (10 mm), because the aluminum washers will not survive the salt environment of the northern states. I have these on my Silverado and the washers failed soon after only one winter, galvanic corrosion ate them up.

Major problem with rear brake lines.....the thickness of the collar that attaches to the rear calipers is a little thinner than the factory brake hose I had replaced, causing the banjo bolts to protrude into the caliper bore (I didn't realize this until the brakes locked up and then had to pull everything apart). This ruined a new set of DBA rotors and PFC z pads.I didn't notice any issues on the initial break-in procedure test drive. Next day, after first 3 miles, noticed it was hard to accelerate. After pulling over and checking the brakes, noticed the rear were super hot and stuck. I limped home at 10 mph, pulled everything apart, and that's when I saw the banjo bolts sticking into the caliper piston bore, and the scarring on the piston itself...causing them to physically not be able to retract.Russell needs to check the quality/fit... this is ridiculous! Lots of wasted money and time...will never buy Russell products again!

Great quality but I can't install the driver side because I need a tee piece and all the ones I've found are too small. It's a huge headache. This product is made for Mustangs with ABS. The non ABS will need to find 1/8 inch adapters.

Received faulty brake lines causing brakes to drag during use and when they heat up

Really easy to install and great improvement over stock brake lines. I race autocross with my 07 Mustang GT and immediately noticed the difference. Highly recommend. Also cheaper than stock replacement lines from OReilly and Advance Auto Parts.

Bought for a 2007 Mustang GT. They look good quality, fitted fine and look good

Easy install, Being Russell brand, I know they will hold up through the long haul.

I put Russell lines on EVERYTHING! This again was just as expected, awesome! Fit was dead on for my 2010 GT.

These where a great price, and fit the car perfectly. They drastically changed the pedal feel of my 2010 Mustang for the better.
